Job description

Field Service Engineer

Fan Services Associates

Fan Services Associates specializes in the repair of variable pitch axial flow fans. We are currently recruiting Field Service Engineers. Responsibilities include technical supervision of fan overhauls, troubleshooting hydraulic systems, vibration analysis, performance testing, and training available. Work is performed at the customer’s facility. When not traveling you will report to our service center located in South Windsor, CT. Direct fan experience preferred.

Qualifications / Responsibilities

  • 5 years of experience working with rotating equipment.
  • Required to travel 10-12 weeks annually. Potential for some international travel.
  • Competent in balancing small and large rotating assemblies using balancing analyzers.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to respond quickly to breakdown conditions.
  • A proactive, ‘can do’ attitude.

The following would also be highly regarded

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • CAD experience
  • Formal training in vibration analysis
  • Knowledge of rotating equipment.
