Job Title: Field Service Engineer, Senior Job Category: Information Technology Time Type: Full time Minimum Clearance Required to Start: Secret Employee Type: Regular-Long Term Assignment Percentage of Travel Required: Up to 10% Type of Travel: Continental US * * * The Opportunity: CACI is seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer, Senior to support mission systems, information technology infrastructure, and operational engineering activities across the Indo-Pacific. The Field Service Engineer, Senior serves as CACI's senior systems engineering professional responsible for installing, integrating, configuring, sustaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and upgrading mission-critical hardware, software, communications, and network systems supporting logistics, mission support, facilities, training, and operational readiness. Reporting directly to the Platform Integration Lead, this position ensures deployed technologies remain fully operational and available to support Government missions across geographically dispersed and expeditionary environments.

The Field Service Engineer works closely with Government stakeholders, systems engineers, network engineers, cybersecurity personnel, software developers, logistics planners, communications specialists, equipment manufacturers, and mission partners to deploy new technologies, resolve technical issues, perform preventive maintenance, and provide engineering support throughout the lifecycle of operational systems. This position contributes to successful program execution by maximizing system availability, improving technical performance, and enabling mission success throughout the Indo-Pacific theater. Responsibilities: Install, configure, integrate, test, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and upgrade mission-critical hardware, software, network, and communications systems.

Perform field engineering support for logistics systems, command and control platforms, asset visibility technologies, edge computing devices, and enterprise information technology infrastructure. Conduct preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, diagnostics, system health assessments, and lifecycle replacement activities. Coordinate installation and fielding of new hardware, software releases, firmware updates, and technology refresh initiatives.

Troubleshoot complex hardware, operating system, network, database, and application issues while restoring operational capability. Coordinate with systems engineers, software developers, cybersecurity personnel, and network administrators to resolve technical problems and improve system performance. Support operational testing, technology demonstrations, field experiments, exercises, contingency operations, and mission rehearsals.

Develop technical reports, engineering assessments, maintenance documentation, installation procedures, and executive-level status briefings. Maintain system configurations, engineering drawings, technical manuals, asset inventories, and maintenance records. Ensure systems comply with Department of Defense cybersecurity policies, technical standards, configuration management requirements, and contractual obligations.

Provide technical training and mentoring to Government personnel and junior engineering staff. Coordinate with equipment manufacturers, vendors, subcontractors, and logistics personnel supporting field service activities. Support emergency service calls, rapid deployment requirements, and operational surge activities throughout the theater.

Promote engineering excellence, system reliability, and continuous process improvement supporting mission readiness. Support geographically dispersed and expeditionary operations requiring responsive field engineering support. Qualifications: Required: Minimum 8 years of experience supporting systems engineering, field service engineering, systems integration, information technology, network engineering, or technical support for Government or Department of Defense programs.

Experience supporting Department of Defense, Joint, Combatant Command, Service Component, Special Operations organizations, or Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) activities. Experience installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting enterprise hardware, software, communications equipment, servers, network infrastructure, or mission systems. Experience supporting field deployments, technology integration, preventive maintenance, or operational system sustainment.

Experience preparing technical documentation, engineering reports, maintenance records, and executive-level briefings. Demonstrated ability to diagnose complex technical issues and restore mission-critical systems while supporting operational timelines. Desired Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Network Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

Experience supporting USSOCOM, SOCPAC, Geographic Combatant Commands, Joint Task Forces, Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), or Special Operations organizations. Experience supporting Indo-Pacific operations, contested logistics, expeditionary communications, distributed mission command, edge computing, or operational technology environments. Experience utilizing VMware, Windows Server, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Cisco networking equipment, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Power BI, Azure Government, AWS GovCloud, SCCM, SolarWinds, virtualization platforms, and enterprise systems management tools.

Knowledge of enterprise systems integration, network architecture, hardware lifecycle management, virtualization, cloud technologies, Risk Management Framework (RMF), Zero Trust Architecture, and Department of Defense engineering standards. Professional certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Certified, Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), VMware Certified Professional (VCP), Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP), or equivalent systems engineering and information technology certifications are preferred. Experience supporting geographically dispersed Government programs involving OCONUS operations, Special Operations Forces, resilient information technology infrastructure, and mission-critical systems throughout the Indo-Pacific is highly desirable.
