Job Description
The Department of Computational, Engineering, and Mathematical Sciences is seeking Full/Part-time adjunct instructor(s) needed for teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in computer science, cybersecurity, and cyber engineering technology for Fall 2026. Most courses are taught in person with a few courses taught online either synchronously or asynchronously.
Required Education and Experience:
  • An earned Master's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or Cyber Engineering Technology or a closely related field from a regionally accredited institution.
  • 18 graduate hours in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or Cyber Engineering Technology or a closely related field.
  • Lecture and Computer based Laboratory teaching experience or related industry experience.

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Working towards or has earned Ph.D. in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or Cyber Engineering Technology or a closely related field from a regionally accredited institution.
  • Experience and interest in teaching undergraduates in a college/university setting.
  • Broad training in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or Cyber Engineering Technology and industry experience.
  • Interest in active and collaborative learning, the instructional use of technology.
  • Experience with non-traditional commuter university setting.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with faculty and staff.
  • Ability to respond promptly to queries from students, faculty, and staff.
