Job description

Description
We are seeking a motivated Jr. Electronics Product Engineer to support the design, development, testing, and continuous improvement of electronic products within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role partners closely with engineering, quality, and production teams to ensure products meet ISO 9001 standards, customer expectations, and manufacturing requirements.
Essential Functions include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve manufacturing and production related issues
  • Support product testing, validation, and failure analysis activities to ensure product quality and performance standards are met
  • Conduct root cause analysis on defective products both in-house and in the field, and recommend corrective actions, design improvements, or installation modifications
  • Develop, implement, and maintain testing processes and systems used for the validation and verification of electronic products throughout the manufacturing process
  • Create, update, and maintain technical documentation required for the production and support of new and existing products
  • Assist in the development of product manuals, technical instructions, and troubleshooting guides for internal and customer use
  • Other duties as require

Supervisory ResponsibilityThis position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
Position Type/Expected Hours of WorkThis is a full-time position. Hours of work are expected to align with REI's normal business hours, Monday-Friday.
Required Education and Experience to perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering (CE/CET), or associate's degree with 2 years of applicable experience
  • Ability to read, and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate across teams
  • Proficient in the use of standard electronic testing equipment, including digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, and related diagnostic tools
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with the capability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Basic understanding of audio and video system components, functionality, and integration
  • Foundational knowledge of networking concepts and protocols, including TCP/IP

TravelThis position does not require routine travel; however, occasional travel may be necessary to support customer-related matters, attend industry seminars and conferences, and stay informed on emerging technologies and industry advancements
