Position Summary
The Process Engineer III serves as a senior technical expert for assigned manufacturing technologies. This role leads complex process improvements, mentors engineers, and supports broader operational and capital initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Process Development
  • Serve as SME for assigned for Painting Processes
  • Lead research on new products, processes and methods for Paint processes
  • Lead the development and implementation of process advancement initiatives Paint processes

Data Analysis
  • Monitor and analyze operational and process data to identify improvements
  • Implement and utilize process monitoring systems to improve consistency of painting processes

Problem Solving
  • Lead complex technical problem-solving initiatives using structured methods

Project Management
  • Lead large scale, multi-faceted capital projects using good project management practices
  • Lead new product introductions and process changes

Team Collaboration/Mentorship
  • Partner with site leadership to align technical improvements to business needs
  • Mentor junior process engineers in process and project leadership

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Deep technical expertise in manufacturing processes
  • Advanced analytical and structured problem-solving capability
  • Ability to influence operational decisions using data and process knowledge
  • Advanced project management skills using scope, justification, budget and scheduling tools
  • Effective communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability and willingness to mentor junior process engineers

Education and Experience
  • Education
    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
    • Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt preferred
    • Project management (PMP or PMO) certificate preferred

  • Experience
    • 5-8 years of process engineering experience
      • Minimum of 5-years of experience with liquid paint application processes
    • 3+ years of project management experience
    • Demonstrated structured problem solving

Work Environment/Travel Requirements
  • Frequent exposure to manufacturing environment.
  • Extended periods of office work on a computer and in team meetings.
  • Regional day travel is expected with this role.
  • Overnight travel requirements will be variable based on projects and business activities, expected up to 10%

  • Ability to work in both office and manufacturing environments.
