Job Description:

As a CAD Detailer, you will provide support to the Production Engineering Department by creating fabrication, assembly drawings, and bills of materials for custom “Engineered to Order” mechanical HVAC equipment. This role requires using AutoCAD and other design programs to execute production engineering tasks such as wall details, small weld details, and unit base pans. You will collaborate with design and production teams to ensure accurate and efficient design execution.
Responsibilities:
  • Create fabrication, assembly drawings, and bills of materials for HVAC equipment using AutoCAD
  • Communicate with Design and Production Engineering teams to create and finalize fabrication drawings
  • Assist with work orders and distribution of drawings for production operations
  • Continuously improve knowledge of design methodologies and tools through self-education
  • Perform other duties as required
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Minimum of an Associate’s degree or 2 years of experience in a CAD or Engineering Technology environment
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD; ERP knowledge preferred
  • Strong communication, organizational, and math skills
  • Basic understanding of mechanical engineering design processes
  • Sheet metal or metal fabrication experience preferred but not required
