Summary:
Our growing technology company seeks an enthusiastic and passionate individual to join our platform engineering team. In this role, you will enable our platform's deployment to Azure Government for FedRAMP certification while maintaining our existing commercial cloud deployments. You will modify infrastructure as code, configure GitOps-based deployment pipelines, and create reference implementations that enable other service teams to deploy to government cloud environments.
What You'll Do:
  • Design, implement, and maintain Terraform modules that support both Azure commercial and Azure Government environments.
  • Configure Argo CD applications and Argo Rollouts strategies for progressive delivery to government cloud environments.
  • Adapt GitOps PR-based approval workflows for government environment promotion and compliance requirements.
  • Restructure CI/CD pipelines for government boundary deployment, including NuGet package mirroring strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements, propose technical solutions, and contribute to architectural decisions.
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure high-quality and maintainable infrastructure code.
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to other engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.
  • Create reference implementations and documentation that enable other teams to deploy their services to government cloud.

What You'll Bring:
  • Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of professional experience working as a platform engineer, DevOps engineer, or similar role.
  • Production experience with Terraform and infrastructure as code at scale.
  • Strong experience with Argo CD, Argo Rollouts, and GitOps deployment patterns.
  • Deep understanding of Azure services and Azure Resource Manager.
  • Solid understanding of Kubernetes and container orchestration.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipeline design and Azure DevOps.
  • Fluency in at least one scripting language (Bash, PowerShell, Python).
  • Excellent English communication skills (written and oral).

We'd Love to See:
  • Microsoft Azure certifications (AZ-104, AZ-305, AZ-500).
  • Experience with Azure Government or other government cloud environments (AWS GovCloud, etc.).
  • Experience with Kustomize overlays for environment management.
  • Experience working in compliance-regulated environments (FedRAMP, FISMA, SOC2, NIST 800-53).
