Computer Engineer

This position requires an active Secret clearance.

Cherokee Strategic Edge is seeking a Computer Engineer to support our Government client.

Compensation & Benefits:

Pay commensurate with experience.

Full time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, and other possible benefits as provided.ย  Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.

Computer Engineer Responsibilities Include:ย 

  • Develop and incorporate single board computers, AI Integration, cellular, satellite, LoRa modems, and similar devices as a foundation for technical solutions for EM/RF surveying remote access, and surveillance, and sUAS integration requirements.

  • Conduct penetration testing, networking, C++, Python, Command Line Interface, Linux, and Android operating systems

  • Conduct Ethical Hacking Operations when authorized

  • Conduct AI Integration in existing/developing systems

  • Develop technical solutions in coordination with the clientโ€™s Tech Ops Detachments

  • Provide analysis of emerging and disruptive technologies and their military applications

  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Computer Engineer Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:ย 

  • Active Secret clearance

  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in software development

  • Security certification (Sec+, CEH, CISSP)

  • Familiar with penetration testing, networking, C++, Python, Command Line Interface, Linux, and Android Operating systems

  • Understanding of python libraries such as MAVLink and OpenCV

  • Understanding of single board computers (SBCs) such as Raspberry Pi, Nvidia Jetson

  • Ability to implement integrated AI solutions such as visual navigation, object recognition/tracking in SBC systems

  • Demonstrated knowledge of common long-range networking solutions (e.g. cellular, satellite, and LoRA modems) and ability to create robust and secure local wide-area networks to be employed in austere and hostile environments

  • Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal
