Description:

The Grain Scale Operator plays a key role in supporting grain operations by managing scale operations, accurately probing and grading grain, and entering tickets into the system. This position provides excellent customer service to patrons and ensures that grain is received, weighed, and recorded properly in compliance with safety and operational policies. The ideal candidate will be organized, dependable, safety-minded, and committed to providing a positive customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate grain scale equipment, enter inbound/outbound tickets, and file records.
  • Accurately probe and grade grain trucks for quality and condition.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service in person and over the phone.
  • Maintain accurate inventory counts and assist with ordering supplies.
  • Utilize office equipment such as fax, copier, and computer systems.
  • Ensure a clean, safe, and professional work environment.
  • Follow all safety procedures and report any hazards or incidents.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and management.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1–3 months of related experience in agriculture, grain handling, or accounting preferred.
