Job description

Description

  • Quality check product that is being setup and disassembled 
  • Perform repairs on various types of equipment including computers, printers, POS (Point of Sale) equipment, and hand-held mobile scanners
  • Ability to read and comprehend technical documentation (Standard Operating Procedures, Technical Drawings, and Schematics)
  • Evaluate and monitor repair processes and techniques and make recommendations for process and equipment changes that lead to gains in productivity and the quality of repairs
  • Basic soldering a plus
  • Independently diagnose, define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, facilitate solutions, and resolve complicated repairs
  • Perform test programs and run benchmarks for battery and power measurements
  • Read and follow directions in technical documentation, provided by both internal and external customers
  • Complete and maintain checklists for staging and integration tasks
  • Communicate and follow-through with internal customers to resolve any issues 

Requirements


  • High School Diploma or GED; Associate's Degree preferred
  • 1-3 years' experience in related field
  • Experience with POS (Point-of-Sale) equipment is preferred
  • Experience with computer software, printers, and/or scanners installation and configuration 
  • Ability to repair laser barcode equipment such as Symbol, Intermec, and Honeywell 
  • Component level soldering skills
  • Excellent organization, attention to detail and time management skills
  • Ability to lift on a repetitive basis up to a maximum of 70 lbs. and stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Occasional evenings and weekends required
  • A+ Certification preferred
  • Ability to quickly learn new skills and translate knowledge to practical application
  • Basic Office Skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
