Pre Construction Assistant - Plumbing
Purpose:
As a Pre-Construction Assistant, your primary role is to support the execution of builder plans and ensure project readiness. This position involves reviewing and revising builder blueprints (red-lines), managing inventory updates, coordinating pricing and change orders, and maintaining clear communication to help drive efficient project completion.
Responsibilities:
Analyze builder drawings and project specs to gain a full understanding of job requirements
Create red-line drawings that reflect on-site conditions to guide estimation and planning
Confirm each project has a tailored site plan established before work begins
Coordinate utility locate requests for excavation purposes
Enter and maintain up-to-date inventory data and incorporate plan revisions or changes
Act as a liaison between field staff and project supervisors
Verify that all necessary permits are secured and current at each job location
Cultivate and strengthen relationships with clients
Qualifications:
College degree in Construction Management or related field preferred
Plumbing knowledge or background is a plus
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
Proficient with CAD software
Strong computer literacy, including Microsoft Office, Excel, Adobe, and Google Sheets
Willingness and ability to learn new programs or systems
Skilled at resolving conflict with both team members and clients
Approachable and positive attitude
Independent decision-making within the role's boundaries
Detail-oriented with a strong follow-up ethic
