Job description

Crist Engineers, Inc. is a civil and environmental consulting firm located in Little Rock and Fayetteville Arkansas. Our projects include municipal and industrial water/ wastewater civil engineering projects. Specifically, this area of engineering includes source water supply intakes, raw water transmission pipelines, water treatment plants, water storage tanks and distribution pipelines. Conversely, other related projects include sanitary sewer collection, lift station pumping, wastewater treatment, permitting and disposal.
CAD Technician Job Duties:
• Prepare drawings from sketches, general engineering and design information, verbal instructions, and notes.
• Prepare computer generated engineering drawings according to Crist Engineers established standards and procedures.
• Review all work to ensure complete and accurate drawings are provided to engineers.
CAD Technician Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Knowledge of engineering drawings and principles and ability to read and understand design or construction documentation associated with engineering projects.
• Ability to make minor mathematical calculations.
• Ability to convert verbal and written information into computer generated drawings.
• Ability to work independently, work efficiently, maintain schedule and manage deadlines.
• Ability and willingness to assist with a wide range of projects and work with multiple project engineers.
• Ability to communicate effectively with others.
CAD Technician Qualifications:
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a CAD Technician daily using Autodesk products Civil 3D and/ or Revit with associated families/ libraries with an emphasis on civil engineering projects.
• Minimum of high school diploma or technical school training.
• Knowledge and background with ArcGIS software.
• Knowledge and background with Bluebeam software.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products such as Outlook, Excel and Word.
