Job description

Job Title: Assembly Worker

Location: Du Bois PA 15801

Work Schedule: 1st Shift | 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM | 2-2-3 (days) Rotating Schedule

Pay Rate: USD 18 - 19/hr

Contract: 3 years

Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or GED
• 3-5 years of assembly, manufacturing, or related experience
• Mechanical aptitude demonstrated through work experience, technical coursework, or hobbies
• Ability to follow detailed assembly and testing instructions
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment
• Ability to read and understand simple layouts and assembly drawings
• Basic computer skills and ability to enter work hours into an ERP system, preferably SAP
• Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds and perform physical tasks throughout the shift
• Ability to work in varying temperatures and manufacturing conditions

Responsibilities:
• Assemble gas meters for residential use
• Perform repetitive mechanical assembly tasks requiring precision and attention to detail
• Follow all workplace safety and product quality policies and complete site-specific training
• Receive components and materials for assembly and testing in the required sequence
• Assemble and test mechanical or electrical components
• Follow assembly and testing instructions, including color coding, PVC thermal welding, and thread taping
• Use hand tools, power tools, jigs, and fixtures to complete assembly tasks
• Enter work hours into the ERP system and complete required production documentation
• Participate in continuous improvement activities and daily housekeeping/5S audits
• Read and follow simple layouts and assembly drawings
• Maintain equipment and work areas in a clean and safe condition
