Location: Mankato, MN Security Clearance: N/A What You’ll Do
You’ll own the full product development lifecycle — from initial concept through production release — for new electronic and electrical products, while also driving improvements to existing ones. This is a hands-on engineering role with real ownership and variety. Core responsibilities include: • Leading innovative electronic/electrical design from concept to production, including schematic creation, prototyping, and design iteration • Building and managing project timelines, budgets, and quality targets independently • Designing, fabricating, and evaluating rapid and conventional prototypes for performance and reliability • Writing product specifications, test plans, and verification documentation • Conducting feasibility studies, competitive testing, and design qualifications • Troubleshooting complex electrical/electronic issues during development and post-production • Generating Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and maintaining complete engineering documentation • Collaborating cross-functionally with manufacturing, operations, and outside suppliers on tooling, assembly, and capacity planning What You Bring • Education: BSEE, BSET, or equivalent • Experience: 5+ years in electrical design engineering, ideally in consumer products • Strong command of schematic reading and design tools (simulation, analysis, CAD) • Hands-on experience taking products from napkin sketch to manufacturable design • Solid grasp of financial modeling and NPD processes • A creative problem-solver with sharp analytical instincts and clear communication skills The Bottom Line
