PRIMARY PURPOSE:
This position is accountable for preparing and maintaining center, site, lease and development plans using AutoCAD by plotting the correct square footage, building size, locations, surveys and leasing information for all interested parties within SPG. This position also develops and maintains special plans for proposed site-specific additions and/or deletions.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
The successful candidate's responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
  • Prepares 2D drawings of site and lease plans from instructions or guidelines in order to provide all parties involved with information on the configuration of buildings, base plan for construction of new centers and expansions and other pertinent information. Research information not given for completion of related projects.
  • Applicants should have a general knowledge of site and leasing layouts, as well as a basic understanding of construction documentation (i.e. "blueprints").
  • Calculates and integrates into final drawings the various dimensions for site and lease plans from information provided by various sources.
    • Verifies and/or calculates square footage of tenant spaces throughout entire project.
    • Calculates parking ratios and acreage and verifies field dimensions and surveys.
  • In depth understanding of AutoCAD plotting utilizing .stb plot styles and layer standards.
  • Records and maintains status of current and archived projects in the CAD system database; Catalogues data as necessary.
  • A primary challenge of this position is insuring the accurate and timely completion of drawings while maintaining all standard aspects of the SPG CAD system.
  • The incumbent may be responsible for assisting in the implementation of additional AutoLISP tools to further enhance the automation of CAD processes and deliverables.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Strong understanding of business processes and technology systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve system and program errors.
  • Basic understanding of AutoLISP and Office VBA.
  • General knowledge of construction management processes.
  • Must be comfortable working in a team environment and with deadlines.
  • Ability to evaluate information and analyze problems logically to develop solutions.
  • Excellent organizational, decision making, and critical thinking skills are essential.
  • Must be computer literate and receptive to emerging technology and software programs.
  • Must have a history of problem-solving using Windows, CAD, corporate networking, printing/plotting, PDF's, and MS Office.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft SharePoint Enterprise, including Power Automate preferred.
  • Must have a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills both written and verbal.
