Job Title:CAD Designer

Pay Details:

The annual base salary range for this position in California is $85,000 to $105,000 per year. The starting pay for the successful candidate depends on various job-related factors, including but not limited to the candidate's geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, education/training, internal value, peer equity, external market demands, and organizational considerations.

The CAD Designer plays a key role in providing detailed drawings and technical schematics to support the planning and execution of events across all venues and properties at OCVIBE. This position is responsible for updating and maintaining venue layouts for all events, including concerts, sporting events, and special activations. Working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders, the CAD Designer ensures that all designs align with operational needs, industry standards, and the overall vision of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain accurate 2D and 3D CAD drawings for venue layouts, renovations, and new construction

  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to refine designs and incorporate feedback

  • Produce high-quality renderings and technical drawings for presentations, planning approvals, and construction documents

  • Assist in space planning, seating arrangements, and operational layouts for various events and functions

  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and ADA requirements in design execution

  • Update and maintain drawing archives, project files, and CAD standards within the department

  • Support feasibility studies, design concepts, and material selections based on project requirements

  • Work closely with contractors and vendors to review shop drawings and coordinate design implementation

  • Assist in site evaluations, as-built drawings, and field measurements as needed

  • Work closely with AFD to ensure that CAD drawings for all events meets the fire requirements for public assembly and load capacity.

  • Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in CAD and venue

Qualfiications

  • 5+ years of experience in CAD design, preferably within the sports, entertainment, or architectural industries

  • AutoCAD certification required

  • Experience working on large-scale venue projects, including arenas, stadiums, or live event spaces

  • Knowledge of construction documents, design development, and project coordination

  • Strong understanding of architectural drafting, building codes, and structural elements

  • Familiarity with industry standards, such as ADA compliance and safety regulations

  • Working knowledge of venue layouts, event operations, and infrastructure needs for sports and entertainment spaces

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and other relevant design software

  • Strong visualization and rendering skills to communicate design concepts effectively

  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities

  • Adaptability to evolving design requirements and project needs

  • Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines

  • Able to interpret and produce construction documents with precision

  • Able to effectively collaborate and communicate with cross-functional teams

  • Able to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with tight deadlines
