Compressor Systems Service Technician

Charlotte, NC

$21.00 - $26.00/hr

A prominent player in the industrial sector is in search of an enthusiastic Compressor Systems Service Technician with 1-2 years of experience to handle essential tasks related to the maintenance and repair of compressed air and vacuum equipment. As a Compressor Systems Service Technician, you will be responsible for assisting with diagnosing and addressing technical issues, performing routine maintenance, and delivering top-notch service to customers.

Responsibilities of the Compressor Systems Service Technician:

• Assist in conducting daily equipment inspections to identify and address issues with compressed air and vacuum equipment before they escalate.

• Support in performing annual and semi-annual maintenance and testing on compressed air and vacuum systems.

• Be available for on-call duties during and outside of regular working hours.

• Assist in programming and troubleshooting microprocessor and PLC-based equipment controls.

• Collaborate with senior technicians to resolve customer-reported technical problems.

• Aid in the startup and troubleshooting of compressed air and vacuum equipment.

• Foster positive client relationships.

• Serve as a technical support resource for customers.

• Work closely with company sales representatives and management to boost service and aftermarket business.

• Be ready to travel locally to assist other company technicians if required.

• Complete daily reports and maintenance checklists.

Qualifications for a Compressor Systems Service Technician:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Mechanical aptitude.

• 1-2 years of experience in a service-based organization is beneficial.

• Solid mechanical and problem-solving skills.

• Good communication, customer service, and consultative abilities.

• A strong work ethic with the ability to work under limited supervision.
