Job description

Hourly Pay Range:
$18.50 - $28.68 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.
Position Highlights:
  • Position: Pharmacy Technician-Kellogg Cancer Center Infusion Centers.
  • Location: Primarily rotating across Kellogg Cancer Center (Evanston, Glenview, and Highland Park locations) with occasional rotation to Swedish Cancer Center, Niles Infusion Center, and Arlington Heights Infusion Center as needed
  • Per Diem - As Needed
  • Hours: Monday - Friday, rotating 7am -6pm (8 hour shifts)
  • Required Travel: Yes between sites, based on rotating schedule

What you will need:
  • License: Current Illinois Registered Pharmacy Technician required
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Certification: Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) preferred; certification required within two years of initial licensure.
  • Experience: Prior technician experience or hospital experience preferred. If candidate does not have prior compounding and/or hospital experience, then we are willing to provide on the job training to an individual who is motivated to learn aseptic compounding skills and is a quick learner looking for a new challenge
  • Skills: N/A

What you will do:
  • Prepare sterile compounded products for IV infusion (such as bags, syringes, pumps) in accordance with sterile clean room regulations
  • Ensure there is adequate inventory of supplies and medications available as needed for patient care
  • Assist pharmacists in maintaining medications records and files as needed
  • Place medication and supply orders to maintain appropriate inventory levels
  • Other duties as assigned
