Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Composite Manufacturing Technician to support the fabrication and production of composite parts. This role is responsible for performing vacuum bagging processes, mold preparation, part de-molding, and material documentation while maintaining quality standards and a safe work environment. The ideal candidate will be dependable, able to follow detailed work instructions, and committed to meeting production goals and deadlines.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Perform vacuum bagging and related processes for the fabrication and curing of composite parts.

  • Prepare molds, cores, and core boxes by cleaning, smoothing surfaces, and repairing imperfections.

  • Assemble cores into mold sections according to work instructions and production specifications.

  • De-mold cured composite parts and inspect for quality and workmanship.

  • Document materials used during the manufacturing process to ensure traceability and compliance.

  • Utilize scanners for timekeeping, attendance tracking, and work traveler documentation.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

  • Follow company policies, procedures, and safety regulations at all times.

  • Work efficiently to meet production schedules, quality standards, and deadlines.

  • Support continuous improvement efforts and assist with additional production tasks as needed.

Required
  • Ability to read, understand, and accurately follow written instructions in English.

  • Ability to use basic measuring instruments and tools.

  • Basic computer skills.

  • Ability to lift and handle rolls of material and other production-related items.

  • High School Diploma or GED, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Preferred
  • General knowledge of composite fabrication processes, vacuum bagging, manufacturing, or related production environments.

  • Previous experience in composite manufacturing, aerospace manufacturing, molding, or a similar production setting.

Physical Requirements
  • Regularly required to stand for extended periods.

  • Frequent use of hands for handling, grasping, and manipulating materials and tools.

  • Regular reaching, bending, and movement throughout the production area.

  • Frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.

  • Ability to perform work requiring close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment
  • Manufacturing and production environment.

  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.

Pay Details: $20.00 to $22.00 per hour
