How you will make an impact:
Lead development and execution of a global commodity strategy for optical active photonic components, ensuring long-term, cost-competitive supply.
Build a diversified, innovation-focused supplier ecosystem with balanced risk and regional exposure.
Cultivate executive-level supplier partnerships backed by structured governance and performance accountability.
Negotiate complex global agreements that secure competitive pricing, supply priority, and commercial protections.
Drive cost reduction programs and margin expansion through cost modeling, benchmarking, and design-for-cost initiatives.
Ensure supply assurance and proactively mitigate risk related to capacity, geopolitical exposure, and single-source dependency.
Align sourcing decisions with product, financial, and technology strategies across cross-functional teams.
The Must Haves:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field; MBA preferred.
8-12+ years of experience sourcing optical components.
Demonstrated success negotiating high-value international supply agreements.
Strong commercial acumen with proven impact on cost reduction and margin improvement.
Experience managing suppliers in high-growth, technology-driven markets.
Advanced negotiation and contract structuring capability.
Strong executive presence with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
Nice to haves:
Experience with optical photonic components such as lenses, fibers, etalons, and prisms.
Background in make-vs-buy analysis or vertical integration strategy.
Familiarity with should-cost modeling and total cost of ownership analysis.
Experience supporting telecom or hyperscale interconnect markets.
Exposure to Supplier Relationship Management governance models.
Knowledge of geopolitical supply chain risk indicators.

Diriger l'elaboration et la mise en uvre d'une strategie mondiale de commodites pour les composants photoniques optiques actifs, afin d'assurer un approvisionnement durable a des couts concurrentiels a long terme.
Developper un ecosysteme de fournisseurs diversifie et axe sur l'innovation, avec une exposition geographique equilibree et un profil de risque maitrise.
Etablir et entretenir des partenariats strategiques avec les fournisseurs au niveau executif, appuyes par une gouvernance structuree ainsi que des mecanismes de responsabilite en matiere de performance.
Negocier des ententes mondiales complexes garantissant des prix competitifs, des priorites d'approvisionnement et des protections commerciales.
Piloter des programmes de reduction des couts et d'expansion des marges de profit grace a la modelisation des couts, au benchmarking et aux initiatives de conception axee sur les couts (designforcost).
Assurer la continuite de l'approvisionnement et attenuer de facon proactive les risques lies a la capacite, aux enjeux geopolitiques et a la dependance envers des sources uniques.

Exigences essentielles:
Diplome de baccalaureat en administration, en ingenierie, en gestion de la chaine d'approvisionnement ou dans un domaine connexe ; MBA souhaite.
8 a 12 ans et plus d'experience en approvisionnement de composants optiques.
Succes demontre dans la negociation d'ententes internationales de grande valeur.
