Summary
 
The Data Entry Specialist is responsible for accurately transcribing and verifying batch record data into the Global Data Mart (GDM). This role supports the MSAT, Process Analytics, Process Validation, and Investigation teams, contributing to critical steps in local and global manufacturing operations. The position requires strict adherence to data integrity standards, timely data availability, and compliance with cGMP requirements.
 
Responsibilities
 
Data Entry & Verification (80%)
  • Accurately enter and verify large volumes of batch record data into GDM.
  • Locate, collect, and manually transcribe process data.
  • Manage and track workload to ensure all required process data is entered.
  • Develop and utilize tools to monitor and manage data entry activities.
  • Provide timely and accurate data entry to support daily process monitoring.
  • Handle special data collection, completion, and verification requests.
  • Maintain up-to-date data entry procedures and guidelines.
  • Ensure 100% right-first-time data accuracy.
Basic Processing & Analytics Understanding (5%)
  • Develop understanding of data collection and process monitoring relationships.
  • Gain knowledge of manufacturing technologies, terminology, and analytical tools.
  • Learn Statistica Enterprise Architecture to support data collection system creation and maintenance.
User Interaction & Support (5%)
  • Collaborate with internal data consumers to improve efficiency.
  • Support users interacting with GDM.
  • Build user confidence in data systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data entry-related analytics issues.
Training & Compliance (10%)
  • Follow all facility training policies and cGMP requirements.
  • Maintain up-to-date training profile (e.g., ComplianceWire, SAP Learning Portal).
  • Complete all required training in a timely manner.
  • Perform other assigned duties as needed.
Required Skills 
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 0–3 years of experience in the biotech industry preferred.
  • Exposure to data collection systems.
  • Familiarity with cGMP environments.
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and analytics systems.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Ability to manage workload effectively.
