Position Title: Staging Center Manager

Position Summary

The Staging Center Manager is responsible for overseeing all staging center operations, including asset receiving, inventory management, device configuration, deployment readiness, logistics coordination, and staff management. This role ensures the efficient preparation and delivery of IT equipment and technology solutions to support customer projects, field operations, and service delivery commitments.

The Staging Center Manager leads a team of staging technicians and field engineers while maintaining operational excellence, inventory accuracy, quality standards, and compliance with company and customer requirements. This position serves as a critical link between operations, procurement, project management, field services, logistics, and customer stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Management

Direct and oversee daily staging center operations.

Develop and implement processes for receiving, staging, configuring, testing, shipping, and returning technology assets.

Ensure timely execution of deployment schedules and project deliverables.

Monitor operational performance and resource utilization to achieve service-level agreements (SLAs).

Continuously evaluate and improve operational workflows and efficiencies.

Team Leadership

Lead, coach, and develop staging center personnel.

Assign workloads and establish priorities based on project demands and business objectives.

Conduct performance discussions, training, and career development activities.

Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement.

Support recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and workforce planning activities.

Asset & Inventory Management

Maintain overall accountability for hardware inventory accuracy and asset tracking.

Ensure inventory levels support customer commitments and deployment schedules.

Establish inventory controls, audit procedures, and asset lifecycle management processes.

Investigate inventory variances and implement corrective actions.

Ensure compliance with asset management policies and security requirements.

Deployment & Quality Assurance

Oversee device imaging, configuration, testing, and deployment readiness processes.

Ensure standardized build and deployment procedures are followed consistently.

Establish quality control measures to minimize deployment defects and equipment returns.

Monitor staging accuracy, quality metrics, and customer satisfaction indicators.

Collaborate with technical teams to resolve recurring deployment issues.

Logistics & Vendor Coordination

Manage shipping, receiving, warehousing, and reverse logistics operations.

Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and transportation providers.

Ensure compliance with shipping regulations and customer requirements.

Optimize packaging, transportation, and fulfillment processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.

Financial & Business Management

Manage operational budgets, equipment purchases, and resource planning.

Track key operational metrics and provide regular performance reporting.

Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process optimization.

Support business forecasting, capacity planning, and project staffing activities.

Customer & Stakeholder Management

Serve as a primary escalation point for operational issues.

Partner with project managers, field services teams, and customer stakeholders to ensure successful deployments.

Communicate project status, risks, and operational performance effectively.

Maintain strong customer relationships through consistent delivery and service quality.

Compliance & Safety

Ensure adherence to company policies, security standards, and customer contractual requirements.

Maintain a secure environment for handling customer assets and data.

Enforce workplace safety procedures and warehouse best practices.

Support audit activities and compliance reviews as required.

Required Qualifications

Education

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or related field preferred.

Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.

Experience

5+ years of experience in IT operations, deployment services, logistics, inventory management, or technical service delivery.

2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience.

Experience managing technology deployment, asset management, or staging center operations.

Experience leading teams in a fast-paced operational environment.

Technical Skills

Microsoft Windows operating systems and endpoint deployment processes.

Microsoft 365 applications and collaboration tools.

Asset lifecycle management and inventory control systems.

Service management platforms such as ServiceNow.

Knowledge of endpoint management tools including Intune, Autopilot, SCCM, or equivalent platforms.

Reporting and data analysis capabilities using Excel and operational dashboards.

Preferred Qualifications

CompTIA A+, Network+, CCNA or related technical certifications.

ITIL Foundation certification.

Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent project management experience.

Experience managing enterprise hardware deployment programs.

The total compensation range for this role in the posted location is $64,366.00 - $115,000.00 USD.
