Position: Permitting Project Manager

Duration: 6-month contract to hire

Pay: $52-$72 h/r

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • 5-8+ years of experience in account management, business development, environmental assessments, and federal, state, and local permitting and regulatory compliance across the U.S.; additional experience preferred.
  • Established relationships within the energy generation sector, with a demonstrated history of developing client partnerships and securing new business opportunities.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the planning, permitting, design, and construction processes associated with energy infrastructure and generation facilities.
  • Strong expertise in state siting requirements and permitting processes, including navigating complex regulatory frameworks.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Insight Global is seeking a qualified Permitting Project Manager to support the development, design, construction, and operation of energy infrastructure projects. This individual will play a key role in both business development and project delivery, helping clients navigate complex environmental and regulatory requirements throughout the project lifecycle.


The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of developing client relationships, winning new business, and successfully managing environmental permitting and compliance efforts within the energy sector. Responsibilities may include due diligence, project feasibility assessments, natural and cultural resource evaluations, regulatory permitting, environmental studies, design support, and operational compliance for existing energy assets.


Successful candidates will bring hands-on experience performing these functions themselves and possess the leadership skills needed to guide project teams, mentor staff, and serve as a trusted advisor to clients. A strong understanding of the energy market and the ability to lead by example are essential for success in this role.
