Position Summary

The Corporate Compliance Market Conduct Exam Center of Excellence is currently looking for a dynamic individual to join our team in aSenior Managerrole. This position performs highly complex support work concerning market conduct exams directed at the Company. In this role, you will support the Corporate Compliance Market Conduct Exam function by coordinating highly sensitive, complex exam work and deliverables gathered from internal business partners for submission to state regulatory agencies and their contracted auditing organizations.

As aSenior Manager, Market Conduct Exam Support, you will:

  • Support the planning, administration, and execution of market conduct exams and compliance activities in alignment with Corporate Compliance priorities, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.

  • Coordinate the execution of compliance processes supporting risk assessments, business process reviews, exam responses, findings remediation, and corrective action plans.

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for assigned business partners, Legal, Compliance, state regulators, and third-party auditors to facilitate market conduct exam activities and communications.

  • Manage complex market conduct exam requests and deliverables by coordinating cross-functional business partners, tracking progress, maintaining defensible documentation, and ensuring timely submission of regulatory responses.

  • Lead day-to-day execution of assigned market conduct exams, including prioritizing work, identifying risks, resolving issues, and escalating sensitive matters to the Lead Director, as appropriate.

  • Support consistent exam governance by following established market conduct exam workflows, communication standards, and documentation requirements while identifying opportunities for process improvement.

  • Provide coaching, guidance, and work direction to team members while supporting employee development and fostering collaboration across the Market Conduct Exam Center of Excellence.

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of market conduct exam capabilities through process enhancements, reporting capabilities, tools, and supporting automation to improve efficiency, transparency, and positive regulatory outcomes.


Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of combined experience in Compliance, Regulatory, Legal, or Market Conduct Exam roles, including experience with Health Care Benefits

  • Excellent analytical, verbal, and written communication skills

  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex, multi-state regulatory exams and competing priorities while meeting strict deadlines

  • Proven experience coordinating cross-functional teams and working effectively across multiple business areas

  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management and appropriately escalate high-risk or sensitive issues

  • Proven ability to build collaborative relationships, influence outcomes, and drive execution across multiple stakeholders

  • Willingness to travel up to 20% (including by plane)


Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in relevant auditing or market conduct exam roles within managed care or health care environments

  • Prior experience as a state or third-party market conduct examiner

  • Experience developing exam strategies, regulatory response plans, and corrective action plans

  • Experience developing and interpreting management-level reporting and analytics, including an understanding of data structures, relational data concepts, and the use of reporting and visualization solutions to support regulatory oversight, exam management, and compliance decision-making

  • Project management experience supporting large, complex regulatory initiatives

  • Experience building and maintaining productive relationships with state regulators and third-party auditors

Education

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of work experience may substitute

  • Juris Doctor (JD) preferred

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$82,940.00 - $182,549.00


This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company's equity award program.
