POSITION SUMMARY

The Compliance Analyst at RAS LaVrar plays a vital role in maintaining operational integrity by monitoring call center agents to ensure strict adherence to client-specific scripts and regulatory standards. Reporting to the Compliance Managing Attorney, this role is responsible for the rigorous auditing of agent communication, legal documentation, and vendor performance. By identifying discrepancies, reporting grievances, and providing actionable feedback to improve agent performance, this position ensures the firm minimizes risk, protects its professional reputation, and delivers the high-level efficiency and innovation expected by the nation’s leading financial institutions in a high-volume, creditors' rights environment.

Responsibilities and Duties:
The following responsibilities are central to the role:

Quality Assurance & Agent Coaching

  • Call Monitoring: Audit call center interactions to ensure strict adherence to scripts and client-specific guidelines.
  • Performance Feedback: Issue coaching forms for any compliance failures and provide constructive outcomes to enhance agent skill sets and communication quality.
  • Translation Support: Translate Spanish-language complaints into English to facilitate accurate reviews and provide feedback for process improvement.

Legal Auditing & Document Integrity

  • Judgment & Suit Review: Systematically review judgments and suits across all states to verify accuracy against internal JST data.
  • Worksheet Preparation: Create detailed worksheets for every assignment and finalize completion reports for departmental records.
  • Document Auditing: Review and audit the firm’s legal documents and legal processes to ensure procedural compliance.

Reporting & Client Relations

  • External Reporting: Create and distribute call monitoring reports and other various performance metrics to the firm’s clients as requested.
  • Escalation Management: Promptly report all allegations of fraud, disputes, and formal complaints to the appropriate client stakeholders.

Vendor & Licensing Oversight

  • Attorney Licensing: Conduct monthly audits of attorney Bar licenses to ensure all legal staff remain in good standing.
  • Vendor Compliance: Audit service vendors to verify that consumers are being serviced accurately and in accordance with firm standards.

Core Competencies & Required Skills:

The successful candidate will:

  • Analytical Rigor: Exceptional attention to detail when auditing legal documents and cross-referencing complex data sets.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of compliance frameworks within a legal or collections environment, including call center guidelines.
  • Linguistic Proficiency: Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish, with the ability to provide high-quality written translations.
  • Communication & Coaching: Ability to deliver professional feedback and coaching that drives measurable improvement in staff performance.
  • Technical Literacy: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to navigate case management systems (JST) and reporting tools.

Educational/ Experience Qualification:

  • Education: Associate Degree required; Bachelor’s Degree is highly preferred.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a compliance, quality assurance, or auditing role, ideally within a legal or financial services setting.
  • Background: Familiarity with call center monitoring software and legal document review is an asset.
  • Attributes: High ethical standards, the ability to work independently on sensitive audits, and a commitment to maintaining firm-wide accuracy.
  • Language Proficiency: Must be Bilingual Spanish/English
