Job Summary:
The Compliance & Risk Specialist provides administrative support for NOAH's compliance and risk management programs. This position assists with compliance monitoring activities, incident tracking, risk audits, investigations, policy management, regulatory readiness, and health center credentialing processes. The specialist serves as a resource to staff and helps ensure NOAH's compliance with applicable federal, state, accreditation, and organizational requirements.
Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Assists with the administration and maintenance of the organization's compliance and risk management programs.
  • Supports incident reporting, event tracking, investigations, grievance documentation, and follow-up.
  • Maintains accurate and complete compliance, risk, and investigation files in compliance program.
  • Assists with compliance audits, monitoring activities, risk assessments, and data/record collection.
  • Assists in preparing reports, dashboards, presentations, and committee materials for leadership and governing boards.
  • Supports regulatory, HRSA, FTCA, and state survey readiness activities.
  • Assists with policy and procedure management, including document updates, version control, and distribution.
  • Coordinates compliance with training assignments and training record auditing.
  • Assists with managing compliance and risk management databases.
  • Provides administrative support for compliance committees, meetings, and special projects.
  • Assists with provider credentialing and recredentialing activities
  • Maintains credentialing files and ensures documentation is complete, current, and accurately filed.
  • Supports primary source verification activities and tracks expiration dates for licenses, certifications, DEA registrations, and other required credentials as outlines in NOAH's policies and procedures.
  • Assists with preparation for credentialing audits and state audit reviews
  • Responds to routine requests for information and documentation.
  • Assists with special projects and departmental initiatives.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:
  • Excellent organizational skills, written and verbal communication skills, and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.โ€ข Computer Literacy; Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Knowledge of healthcare compliance, risk management, credentialing, and basic healthcare operations.
  • Familiarity with federal HRSA/FTCA guidelines, HIPAA, CMS, and state of Arizona healthcare regulatory requirements preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with staff at all organizational levels.

Education and Experience:
Required:
  • Associate's degree in healthcare administration, public administration, public health or another related field required
  • 2 years of healthcare experience.
  • 2 years of Compliance and/or risk experience in a healthcare setting.

Preferred:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Healthcare compliance certification

Other Requirements:
  • New Hires are required to pass pre-employment background check and drug testing.
