Job Duties:
Performs routine safety and health program work. Work involves assisting with the development of safety policies and procedures; participating in the safety training and education of staff; inspecting work areas and activities for hazards; and assisting in investigating accidents. Works under moderate supervision with limited latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
You'd be a GOOD fit if:
You have successfully completed an accredited senior high school education or earned a GED
You bring valuable experience in auditing, program support, or technical review.
You are comfortable with standard computer operations and are familiar with agency structure, policies, and procedures, or are willing to learn them.
You communicate clearly with both internal and external partners and are prepared to complete safety and risk management certifications.
Your readiness to deepen your knowledge of safety, health, and environmental regulations further demonstrates your commitment to excelling in this role.
You'd be a GREAT fit if:
You have one year fulltime, wageearning experience in criminal justice, risk management or a related field
You bring a solid understanding of risk management program operations, practices, and procedures, along with comprehensive knowledge of the state and federal laws, regulations, and statutes that guide safety and compliance.
You can communicate clearly and concisely, collaborate well with staff, officials, agencies, and the public, and apply strong problemsolving skills to a wide range of situations.
You have the ability to design and deliver effective safety training programs.
