Federal Operations Manager

Peregrine Technologies

Washington, DC โ€ข On-site

Full-time

Posted 5 days ago

Job description

Backed by leading Silicon Valley investors, Peregrine helps public safety organizations, state and local and governments, federal agencies, and private-sector institutions address society's challenges with unprecedented speed and accuracy. Our AI-enabled platform turns siloed and disconnected data into operational intelligence - instantly surfacing mission-critical information to empower better, faster decisions that improve outcomes at every touchpoint. Today Peregrine supports hundreds of customers across 30+ states and two countries, serving more than 125 million people - and we're amplifying our impact as we expand into the enterprise and internationally.
The Role
Peregrine is looking for a highly organized, resourceful operator to support our work across the federal government. This role sits at the intersection of executive support, Federal operations, and customer engagement, with exposure to some of Peregrine's most important relationships and initiatives.
You'll work closely with Peregrine leadership and our Federal team to coordinate complex schedules, travel, meetings, customer visits, and events. You'll often operate around sensitive or confidential information, making judgment, discretion, and attention to detail essential to success.
We're particularly interested in people who have learned how to operate in fast-paced government environments. You may have supported a Member of Congress or congressional committee, worked within a federal department or agency, or developed similar experience working closely with government stakeholders.
If you're someone who knows how to keep a complicated schedule moving, coordinate across many different stakeholders, anticipate what needs to happen next, and stay composed when plans change, you'll likely thrive in this role.
Responsibilities:
  • Build and improve processes for scheduling, travel, events, and Federal engagements as Peregrine continues to grow.
  • Jump into special projects and operational needs across the Federal organization as they arise.
  • Manage complex calendars and scheduling for senior leaders, including meetings with federal customers, government officials, executives, and other external stakeholders.
  • Coordinate meetings and engagements involving multiple government and internal stakeholders, navigating changing schedules and competing priorities.
  • Track follow-ups, action items, and operational priorities coming out of important meetings and engagements.
  • Manage domestic and international travel and the logistics surrounding sensitive or high-priority engagements.
  • Prepare leaders for upcoming meetings, travel, and events by ensuring materials, logistics, and relevant context are organized in advance.
  • Handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and good judgment.
  • Serve as a reliable point of contact for Federal stakeholders and their staff, ensuring requests and follow-ups are handled thoughtfully and efficiently.
  • Coordinate Federal customer events, including Demo Days, customer fly-ins, executive visits, dinners, and other in-person engagements.
  • Own event logistics from start to finish, including invitations, attendee tracking, meeting spaces, catering, transportation, materials, and day-of execution.
  • Partner with Sales and Marketing to create thoughtful, well-organized experiences for Federal customers and stakeholders.
What We Look For
  • 5+ years of experience in government, operations, scheduling, executive support, government affairs, or another fast-paced, high-trust environment.
  • Experience working on Capitol Hill, with a congressional committee, within the Executive Branch or a federal department or agency, or in an organization that works closely with the federal government.
  • Experience coordinating across multiple stakeholders and managing schedules, meetings, events, or other operational priorities.
  • Discretion when handling confidential or sensitive information.
  • An understanding of the norms and protocols involved in working with government officials and their staff.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to keep track of many moving pieces at once.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including an ability to synthesize meetings and complex information into clear takeaways.
  • A proactive mindset - you anticipate what needs to happen rather than waiting to be told.
  • Ability to stay composed and resourceful when schedules change or unexpected issues arise.
  • Willingness to work across traditional functional boundaries, from managing an executive calendar to coordinating a customer dinner or running a Demo Day.

Salary Range: $120,000 - $140,000 Annually + Benefits + Equity (if applicable) + Bonus (if applicable)
Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific work location. Information on the benefits offered is here.
