The Principal Business Unit within S3, Inc., Agile Engineering Division, is chartered to DoD  PEOs, PMOs, MDA, MSIC, SMDC, Space Force program support.

We are seeking a seasoned Human Resources Manager to join us in our Huntsville, AL headquarters in Research Park. This position is not a remote or hybrid position and requires 5 days/week on site. This position does not offer relocation.

There is a $10,000 hire-in bonus.

Position Description: 

The Human Resource Manager (HRM) provides overall management and direction to the HR department workforce, overseeing all aspects of human resources within the corporation; serves as the primary point of contact for management regarding employee-related issues; and, supervises Personnel, Benefits, HR Policies & Procedures, HR Budget, HR Staff Analysis Plan, HR Compensation Plan, and the associated tasks of up to 10 HR personnel.  The HRM reports to the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO). HR is part of Shared Services for four entities comprising the Corporation.

Responsibilities:

  • Plans, conducts, and coordinates the development, administration, and budget compliance  of HR programs in functions such as compensation, benefits, training, employee relations, security, unemployment insurance, quality control, and related areas both CONUS and OCONUS.

  • Provides change management in support of the corporation's significant growth activities.

  • Forecasts future staffing, develops and implements staffing plans, and manages associated budgets.

  • Analyzes wage and salary data to determine the company's compensation framework.

  • Partners closely with vendors to administer cost-effective employee benefit plans.

  • Identifies and provides high-impact, cost-effective training and operates in an ISO/AS9100 QMS work environment.

  • Ensures compliance with labor laws and regulations.

  • MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, and Costpoint skills are required.

  • Establishes, evaluates, and implements HR policies and practices coupled with effective employee communication processes.

  • Conducts studies to determine feasibility, cost benefits, and potential HR program applications.

  • Provides reporting of records to OFCCP, DOL, EEOC, and other agencies required by country, federal, state, county and local law or local governing bodies.

  • Develops compensation plans, coordinates training programs, analyzes and recommends benefit changes, prepares and administers EEO-1 and Affirmative Action Programs, and tasks of similar complexity.

  • Provides strong labor relations expertise with Service Contract Act and Collective Bargaining Agreement employees.

  • Utilizes the HR module of Costpoint and MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel.

  • Participates as a member of the Corporate Business Operations Round Table for risk reduction analysis, policy improvements, and strategy.

  • Supervises up to 4 HR personnel.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field of study and 15 years of Human Resources experience OR a Master's degree in Human Resources or related field of study and 12 years of Human Resources experience.
  • A minimum of 10 years of HR experience in business operations with a DOD technical services contractor.
  • Experience providing reporting of records to support audits by OFCCP, DOL, EEOC, and other agencies required by law or local governing bodies.
  • Active DOW security clearance is preferred; must have the ability to obtain and maintain one.
  • SHRM certification is a plus.
  • Military experience desired.
