Position Summary

The Parking Lot Attendant is responsible for managing parking lot operations accurately and efficiently at various assigned locations. Key responsibilities include directing vehicles to appropriate parking spaces, ensuring smooth traffic flow, and monitoring parking areas for safety and security. In addition to operational duties, Parking Lot Attendants are responsible for providing accurate information to the public, addressing any concerns, and maintaining a strong commitment to superior customer service. They serve as the first point of contact for event attendees, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience from the moment guests arrive.

This role will pay an hourly rate of $15.00- $17.00

About the Venue

The Greensboro Coliseum Complex is a versatile multi-building facility that serves the community of Greensboro and its surrounding areas. It hosts a wide array of events, such as athletic competitions; cultural arts showcases; concerts; theater performances; educational activities; fairs; and exhibits, as well as public and private gatherings, including conventions, convocations, trade shows, and consumer shows. It plays a crucial role as a hub of community activities and significantly contributes to the regional economy. The Complex is made up of nine venues, the largest being the renowned 22,000-seat First Horizon Coliseum, which has a storied history of hosting prestigious ACC and NCAA basketball championships and a concert history featuring legendary artists like Paul McCartney, Garth Brooks, and Phish, as well as today's biggest artists like Drake, Bad Bunny, and Taylor Swift. The Complex also includes the 167,000-square-foot Special Events Center, encompassing three exhibition halls, a 4,500-seat mini-arena, and eight meeting rooms. Additionally, there's White Oak Amphitheatre, Piedmont Hall, the Novant Health Fieldhouse, Greensboro Aquatic Center, The Terrace, ACC Hall of Champions, and the 300-seat Odeon Theatre.

Responsibilities
  • Greet and direct customers entering parking lots.
  • Communicate parking information to the public to park cars quickly and efficiently.
  • Work in a variety of parking locations and positions.
  • Monitor lot during events, immediately contacting supervisor as issues arise.
  • Provide a positive and friendly experience to all customers.
  • Set up A-frame signs, parking cones, and reserved parking signs.
  • Identify and problem-solve parking issues; prevent when possible.
  • Provide excellent customer service assistance to internal and external clients.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Must be prepared and willing to work in various climate conditions (i.e., rain, snow, hot & cold weather).
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Must have a demonstrated ability to function in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Must have the ability to work a flexible schedule, including long hours, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and use a company radio to communicate.
  • Must be comfortable working with the public.
  • Requires strong interpersonal and communications skills.
