Mill Creek Lumber and Supply Company is a leading provider of lumber and building materials, serving the construction industry since 1934. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality products and exceptional customer service. As we continue to expand, we are seeking a dedicated and results-driven Luxury Sales Representative to join our sales team. In this role, you will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with new and existing customers, promoting our products, and achieving sales targets within your designated territory. As an ambassador of Mill Creek, you will play a vital role in driving customer satisfaction and building a strong brand presence in the market. This is a Salary plus commission position.
Responsibilities:
  • Identify and prospect potential customers within the assigned territory to expand Mill Creek's customer base. (Architects, Builders, Designers and Homeowners)
  • Conduct sales visits, presentations, and product demonstrations to showcase the features and benefits of Mill Creek's lumber and building materials. Display ability to help visualize concepts and can transfer thoughts and ideas to our customers.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers through regular communication and follow-up to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Collaborate with the internal sales team to generate leads, address customer inquiries, and provide timely and accurate sales support.
  • Keep up-to-date with industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions to identify sales opportunities and stay ahead of the competition.
  • Prepare and deliver sales proposals, quotes, and contracts to customers, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Communicate project and costing details to both internal and external Teams. High-level of communication required, (both written and verbal).
  • Will lead in management of all projects as secondary point-of-contact supporting order creation, order processing and delivery.
  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets as set by the management team.
  • Provide feedback to the sales management team on customer needs, market trends, and competitive intelligence to drive continuous improvement and strategic decision-making.
  • Attend trade shows, industry events, and networking functions to represent Mill Creek Lumber and Supply Company and expand professional networks.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, customer interactions, and prospects using the company's CRM system.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Proven track record of success in outside sales, preferably selling high end windows and doors. Window and door sales experience is not required but is highly preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and effectively present information to customers.
  • Excellent negotiation and closing skills, with the ability to overcome objections and convert prospects into customers.
  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented, with the ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of sales principles and techniques.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and competitive sales environment.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools to manage customer relationships and track sales activities.
  • High school diploma required; a bachelor's degree in business or a related field is preferred.

Key Technical Skills/Knowledge Requirements:
  • Ability to understand the scope of both new and remodel home construction projects.
  • Background in Architectural or Interior Design - understands interior and exterior building trends and color theory.
  • Medium+ proficiency in CAD or similar building software. Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Understands current marketing trends and can help build/shape company narratives
  • Background in windows and doors - not required, but helpful to expedite training.
