Position Summary
The Senior Director - Marketing, Caris MRD is responsible for leading the strategic marketing efforts for Caris Life Sciences' Minimal Residual Disease (MRD) portfolio. This role develops and executes integrated marketing strategies that build market awareness, strengthen competitive positioning, and drive adoption among oncologists, health systems, and strategic partners. The Senior Director serves as the marketing leader for the MRD business, partnering closely with Product Management, Medical Affairs, Commercial, Market Access, Clinical Development, and Corporate Communications to translate scientific innovation into compelling customer-focused campaigns and commercial programs. This individual leads the development of product positioning, messaging, integrated marketing campaigns, sales enablement initiatives, and thought leadership programs that support Caris' leadership in precision oncology.
Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the annual marketing strategy for the MRD portfolio, ensuring alignment with commercial objectives, business priorities, and growth goals.

  • Define customer segmentation, targeting, positioning, and messaging strategies that effectively communicate the clinical, economic, and patient value of Caris MRD solutions.

  • Develop and execute integrated marketing campaigns across digital, field, event, content, and demand generation channels to increase customer engagement and drive product adoption.

  • Lead marketing initiatives supporting product launches, new indications, scientific publications, commercial programs, and lifecycle management activities.

  • Partner with Commercial Leadership to develop sales enablement resources, including customer presentations, sales tools, competitive intelligence, field communications, and training materials.

  • Collaborate with Medical Affairs and Clinical Development to translate scientific evidence and clinical data into compelling, compliant marketing communications and customer-facing materials.

  • Support publication planning, advisory boards, scientific symposia, industry meetings, and major oncology conferences.

  • Lead market research and voice-of-customer initiatives to better understand customer needs, market trends, competitive dynamics, and emerging commercial opportunities.

  • Monitor competitive intelligence and market insights to refine marketing strategies, strengthen product positioning, and support commercial decision-making.

  • Partner cross-functionally with Product Management, Medical Affairs, Market Access, Commercial, Clinical Development, Business Development, Corporate Communications, and other stakeholders to ensure coordinated commercialization and marketing execution.

  • Represent Marketing on cross-functional product launch teams, portfolio planning initiatives, and strategic commercial projects.

  • Manage external agencies, consultants, and vendors to deliver high-quality marketing programs on time and within budget.

  • Strengthen Caris' leadership in MRD and precision oncology through strategic brand development, customer engagement initiatives, thought leadership, key opinion leader (KOL) programs, and scientific communications.

  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators to evaluate marketing effectiveness and continuously optimize campaign performance using commercial analytics and customer insights.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree in life sciences, healthcare, or a related field preferred.

  • Ten (10) or more years of progressive marketing experience within healthcare, biotechnology, life sciences, diagnostics, or precision medicine.

  • Experience in oncology, molecular diagnostics, genomics, precision medicine, or minimal residual disease (MRD) strongly preferred.

  • Demonstrated success developing and executing integrated marketing strategies that drive commercial growth and product adoption.

  • Experience supporting product launches and commercialization within a complex healthcare or life sciences environment.

  • Strong understanding of physician marketing, clinical evidence generation, healthcare reimbursement, and market access.

  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence stakeholders across a matrixed organization.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, leadership, project management, and organizational skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze market data, customer insights, and commercial performance metrics to inform strategic decision-making.

  • Ability to occasionally lift routine office supplies and operate standard office equipment.

  • This position requires periodic travel, including customer meetings, National Sales Meetings, scientific conferences, advisory boards, and other business-related events. Occasional evening, weekend, and holiday work may be required.
