Job description

Job Description: Saab, Inc. is seeking a dynamic Capture Manager to lead the identification, qualification, shaping, capture, and transition of strategic business opportunities across the United States Marine Corps (USMC) portfolio. This individual serves as the capture lead for pursuits typically valued between $10M and $1B+, developing customer relationships, influencing acquisition strategies, leading cross-functional capture teams, and delivering executable win strategies that position the company for long-term growth. The successful candidate possesses 12+ years of progressive Department of Defense acquisition, business development, or capture management experience, including extensive knowledge of Marine Corps organizations, requirements generation, acquisition processes, and operational training environments. The individual will work closely with executive leadership, business development, engineering, program management, and proposal teams to successfully transition opportunities from qualification through contract award. This position is located out of our Orlando, FL office. This role requires travel of around 25-50% to customer sites across the U.S. Primary Responsibilities include: * Lead strategic captures from opportunity identification through contract award, developing and executing Capture Plans aligned with the Business Acquisition Process (BAP).
* Manage opportunity roadmaps, capture milestones, decision gates, budgets, and investments while leading Black Hat reviews, competitive assessments, and Price-to-Win analyses.
* Build and maintain trusted relationships with senior leaders across the Marine Corps, including TECOM, MCSC, PM TRASYS, MCWL, MCCDC, MARFORs, MCICOM, and Naval Information Warfare organizations.
* Represent the company at industry events, customer engagements, technical exchanges, demonstrations, and conferences to strengthen customer relationships and identify opportunities.
* Shape opportunities prior to solicitation by influencing acquisition strategies, identifying customer needs, aligning company capabilities, and supporting RFIs, Sources Sought, white papers, and OTA initiatives.
* Monitor budgets, POM activities, Congressional funding, acquisition forecasts, and emerging requirements to position the company for future opportunities.
* Develop competitive intelligence, SWOT analyses, discriminators, win themes, and positioning strategies to maximize probability of win and support executive gate reviews.
* Lead proposal strategy from Pre-RFP through award, ensuring solution development, pricing strategy, color team participation, and proposal content align with customer objectives and acquisition strategy.
* Coordinate cross-functional capture and proposal efforts across Business Development, Engineering, Operations, Contracts, Finance, Pricing, Program Management, and Executive Leadership.
* Mentor junior capture and business development professionals while supporting strategic planning, pipeline management, teaming strategies, and long-term business growth. Compensation Range: $165,700 - $200,000 The compensation range provided is a general guideline. When extending an offer, Saab, Inc. considers factors including (but not limited to) the role and associated responsibilities, location, and market and business considerations, as well as the candidate's work experience, key skills, and education/training. Skills and Experience: Basic Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Military Science, or related discipline.
* 12+ of experience in DoD acquisition, capture management, business development, or program management.
* Demonstrated success leading captures valued at $50M-$1B+.
* Extensive knowledge of: Marine Corps acquisition processes, Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) DoD budgeting and PPBE processes Competitive capture methodologies.
* Experience developing capture strategies for complex technical programs.
* Strong executive communication and presentation skills.
* Experience leading cross-functional teams.
* Active Secret Clearance required; Top Secret preferred or ability to obtain. Preferred Qualifications: * Master's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, National Security, or related field.
* Former Marine Corps officer, acquisition professional, or senior civilian leader.
* DAWIA / Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act certification.
* Program Management Professional (PMP) certification.
* APMP Foundation or Practitioner certification.
* Experience supporting: Live, Virtual, Constructive (LVC) Training Instrumentation Systems Tactical Training Systems Modeling & Simulation Mission Command Range Modernization Force-on-Force Training Weapons Systems Integration
* Existing relationships across Marine Corps acquisition organizations. Citizenship Requirements: Must be a U.S. citizen.
