Kratos has an exciting opportunity for a Capture Manager to work a hybrid schedule. The Capture Manager - Army Aviation Platforms is responsible for leading competitive pursuit activities aligned to PAE Maneuver Air platform portfolios, including PM Utility, PM Cargo, PM FLRAA, and PM UAS. Following formal opportunity qualification, the Capture Manager owns the Pursuit Phase in accordance with our Opportunity Lifecycle Process. This role requires deep familiarity with Army Aviation platform modernization strategies, acquisition roadmaps, and OEM ecosystems supporting these portfolios.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Platform-Aligned Capture Strategy

  • Develop and maintain Capture Plans specific to PM Utility, Cargo, FLRAA, and UAS portfolios
  • Align simulation and training solutions to platform modernization objectives
  • Define discriminators tailored to platform requirements
  • Anticipate future training needs for next-generation aviation systems

Platform Stakeholder Engagement

  • Maintain relationships within PM Utility, PM Cargo, PM FLRAA, and PM UAS offices
  • Track funding lines, POM cycles, and acquisition pathways
  • Shape early requirements via RFIs and technical exchanges
  • Develop stakeholder influence maps tied to specific platforms

OEM & Industry Integration

  • Build and maintain relationships with major Army Aviation OEMs supporting Utility, Cargo, FLRAA, and UAS platforms
  • Identify teaming strategies aligned to platform acquisition strategies
  • Conduct capability gap analysis and partner alignment
  • Position Kratos as a training integrator within OEM ecosystems

Competitive Intelligence & Price-to-Win

  • Conduct platform-specific competitor assessments
  • Develop price-to-win strategies aligned to platform acquisition realities
  • Coordinate with pricing and technical teams for should-cost modeling
  • Update quad charts and capture documentation continuously

Bid/No-Bid Leadership

  • Prepare formal Bid/No-Bid review packages
  • Present opportunity strategy and B&P need to executive leadership
  • Recommend resource allocation aligned to platform growth strategy

Proposal Phase Strategy Continuity

  • Provide win themes and competitive positioning guidance
  • Support Pink and Red Team reviews
  • Maintain customer continuity during proposal execution
  • Transition execution leadership to Proposal Manager

ROLE BOUNDARIES

This role:

  • Does NOT own (but can contribute to) opportunity identification (BD Lead responsibility)
  • Does NOT manage proposal schedules/compliance (Proposal Manager responsibility)
  • Owns competitive pursuit strategy only
  • Drives probability of win alignment from pursuit through award

  • 12+ years' experience in Army Aviation acquisition, capture management, or aviation program leadership
  • Direct familiarity with one or more of the following: PM Utility, PM Cargo, PM FLRAA, PM UAS
  • Demonstrated capture leadership on $50M+ competitive aviation programs
  • Strong understanding of rotary-wing and/or UAS training systems
  • Experience coordinating with Army Aviation OEMs
  • Deep understanding of Army aviation modernization roadmap
  • Active Secret clearance

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Prior Army Aviation service
  • Experience supporting FLRAA modernization efforts
  • Experience in UAS training and mission systems
  • Experience leading IDIQ/MATOC pursuits
  • Exposure to digital engineering and immersive training technologies
