Job Summary:
Be part of the team responsible for advancing La-Z-Boy's Retail-First strategy by aligning brand, marketing, and retail execution across the company's channel ecosystem. This position plays a key role in driving growth across La-Z-Boy's wholesale partner network, an important extension of the brand that expands La-Z-Boy's reach across retail markets in North America. This role ensures that La-Z-Boy's brand strategy, consumer insights, and retail marketing approach are effectively translated into wholesale partner environments to improve retail execution and sell-through. Working closely with Wholesale Sales, merchandising, insights, and marketing teams, this role identifies growth opportunities, develops marketing strategies, and leads activation programs that strengthen La-Z-Boy's presence across strategic wholesale retail partners and digital marketplaces. This role also leads wholesale partner marketing enablement programs and platforms, including tools that support dealer marketing, digital presence, and social activation - helping partners effectively market La-Z-Boy products and drive consumer demand.
Job Description:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties as assigned):
Wholesale Growth Strategy
  • Lead the development of marketing strategies that support the growth of La-Z-Boy's wholesale partner network.
  • Identify high-potential partners and opportunities to expand La-Z-Boy's presence within wholesale retail environments.
  • Collaborate with Wholesale Sales to support joint business priorities and initiatives that improve partner performance and drive sell-through.

Wholesale Partner Marketing Enablement
  • Lead the development and management of wholesale partner marketing enablement programs that support dealer growth and brand consistency.
  • Oversee key partner marketing platforms, including AVB and Promoboxx, ensuring effective implementation and value to the dealer network.
  • Partner with Wholesale Sales and cross-functional teams to drive adoption of marketing tools, programs, and best practices across the dealer network.
  • Evaluate program performance and continuously optimize tools and resources that support partner marketing success.

Go-To-Market & Wholesale Activation
  • Support product launches and marketing initiatives within wholesale channels.
  • Develop marketing frameworks and retail storytelling that strengthen La-Z-Boy's brand presence within partner stores.
  • Lead the development and execution of wholesale marketing programs designed to drive consumer demand and partner sell-through.
  • Partner with internal marketing teams to ensure promotional alignment across channels.

Retail Intelligence & Competitive Insight
  • Analyze consumer behavior and retail trends within wholesale partner environments.
  • Monitor competitive activity and positioning across the retail landscape.
  • Translate shopper insights and competitive intelligence into strategies that improve wholesale marketing programs and retail execution.

Budget Management
  • Manage wholesale marketing program budgets and ensure investments support measurable improvements in partner performance, retail traffic, and sales results.

Test & Learn Innovation
  • Implement test-and-learn initiatives to evaluate new marketing strategies and activation models within the wholesale channel.
  • Identify opportunities to introduce new tools, programs, or capabilities that strengthen partner engagement and performance.

This position plays an important role in advancing La-Z-Boy's Retail-First strategy by supporting growth across the wholesale partner ecosystem. Wholesale represents a significant extension of the La-Z-Boy brand, expanding the company's presence across national, regional, and digital retail partners. This role helps ensure that La-Z-Boy's brand strategy, marketing programs, and retail execution translate effectively within partner environments to strengthen sell-through and overall brand presence. Working closely with Wholesale Sales and cross-functional teams, the position contributes to improved partner engagement, stronger retail execution, and scalable marketing programs that support the continued growth of the wholesale business. Success in this role helps strengthen La-Z-Boy's position within partner retail environments while ensuring consistency with the company's broader retail marketing strategy. The role helps ensure La-Z-Boy shows up consistently and competitively across all retail channels where consumers shop the brand.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: 1 direct report
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field with 6-8 years of relevant experience, including 1-3 years of leadership or cross-functional project management experience, or equivalent.
  • Experience in retail marketing, channel marketing, advertising, or wholesale partner marketing environments, with familiarity in retail campaigns, promotions, and marketing programs.
  • Understanding of wholesale and partner retail business models, including how brands drive consumer demand and sell-through across national, regional, and digital retail partners.
  • Experience supporting omnichannel marketing initiatives, including in-store consumer experience and shopper engagement.
  • Strong analytical and data-driven mindset with the ability to translate consumer, shopper, and competitive insights into actionable strategies.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with sales, merchandising, marketing, operations, and external partners.
  • Experience working within the creative development and production process, with an understanding of brand standards and retail marketing execution.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project).
  • Self-motivated, curious, and results-oriented.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% to support partner engagement, market visits, and strategic initiatives.
