Job description

Join our team of quality early childhood professionals that support the development of a child’s path to future success. Children's Lighthouse North Center in Chicago, IL is looking for an assistant teacher to join our team. Our ideal candidate is self-driven, punctual, engaged, and loves to help babies learn and grow! Established in 2015, we provide a safe learning environment with enhanced health and safety protocols and an industry-leading curriculum designed to help children learn and thrive. Come help us build young minds and bright futures!
We have two positions available:
Monday - Friday from 12-6:30pm (working with older infants and preschoolers)
Monday - Friday from 8:30-5:30 (working with young infants)

Responsibilities:

  • Provide a loving, nurturing environment for babies to learn and play
  • Use games, and activities to teach new skills with our curriculum
  • Uphold the DCFS rules and regulations, in addition to the policies and procedures of Children's Lighthouse outlined in the employee handbook
  • Have fun!
Qualifications:

  • Background Check/Reference Check
  • Requires High school diploma or GED
  • CPR/First Aid Certified or willingness to be certified
  • Flexibility to work between the hours of 7am-6:30pm depending on scheduling
  • Able to lift 35 pounds, sit, stand, kneel, and be active in a classroom setting
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Punctual and Dependable
