Federal experience is not required. Experience may have been gained in the public sector, private sector or through Volunteer Service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-timework is considered on a prorated basis. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To qualify for this position, you must meet the qualification requirements outlined below:
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE FOR GS-12: To be eligible for this position at this grade level, you must have specialized law enforcement experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service.

  • Specialized experience for this position includes experience applying a wide range of criminal investigations and criminal intelligence procedures, principles, concepts, methodologies, and techniques sufficient to review Body Worn Camera (BWC) footage and assess performance, ensure law enforcement practices are consistent with policy and approved enforcement plans and make recommendations that significantly impact the agency wide BWC program.
  • Experience in applying Criminal Justice practices to ensure effective, accountable policing and to develop recommendations for improvements in investigation and enforcement activities.
  • Experience analyzing qualitative and quantitative techniques to assess the effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity of a program and adherence to policy.
  • Experience applying oral and written communication skills to explain program objectives to internal and external impacted parties and respond to organizational concerns about how enhancements benefit the organization impacted.
  • Experience analyzing problems, initiating required corrective action, and/or developing systems and processes that resolve the identified problems.
  • Experience independently establishing priorities, identifying meaningful objectives, completing assignments timely.

AND
You must also meet the following requirements

  • MINIMUM AGE REQUIREMENT: Minimum age for federal employment is 18 years old, or at least 16 years old and have:
    • Graduated from high school or been awarded a certificate equivalent to graduating from high school; or
    • Completed a formal vocational training program; or
    • Received a statement from school authorities agreeing with your preference for employment rather than continuing your education.
