This position requires strong judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to independently manage multiple priorities while partnering closely with leadership, managers, and employees across the organization.

This role is open to candidates who reside in the United States and are authorized to work in the U.S.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Own and manage full-cycle recruiting across all departments, including job postings, sourcing, screening, interview coordination, and offer execution, ensuring a consistent and high-quality hiring process.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all HR-related matters, supporting employees and managers with questions, guidance, and issue resolution across multiple companies and states.
  • Manage the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, training coordination, promotions, transfers, and terminations, ensuring all documentation, systems, and processes are accurate and compliant.
  • Develop, maintain, and enforce HR policies, procedures, and best practices, ensuring alignment with federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Lead employee relations efforts, including conflict resolution, investigations, performance management, and coaching managers through complex situations.
  • Support and administer compensation programs, including compensation benchmarking and pay alignment analysis, ensuring competitive and consistent pay practices.
  • Administer employee benefits programs, including enrollments, changes, and employee education, while coordinating with brokers and vendors.
  • Own and manage full-cycle payroll processing, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time.
  • Maintain and audit payroll data including pay rates, deductions, bonuses, and timekeeping records.
  • Partner with managers to ensure accurate time tracking and resolve discrepancies.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local wage and hour laws.
  • Process payroll changes including new hires, terminations, pay adjustments, and bonuses.
  • Support payroll reporting, audits, and reconciliations.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for payroll-related questions.
  • Manage compliance initiatives, including workers' compensation, safety programs, required reporting, and recordkeeping across multiple states.
  • Drive and support employee engagement, culture initiatives, and company events that reinforce company values and a positive employee experience.
  • Continuously improve HR systems, processes, and tools to increase efficiency, consistency, and scalability across the organization.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate complex situations
  • High level of discretion and ability to handle confidential information
  • Ability to prioritize, adapt, and manage competing priorities effectively

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
  • 3+ years of progressive HR experience with broad exposure to multiple HR functions
  • Experience operating in a standalone HR or "HR department of one" environment strongly preferred
  • Experience supporting multi-state or multi-entity organizations preferred
