Qualifications: 
Bachelor’s degree in human services or a related field. 
Summary of position: 
The Transitional House Manager is responsible for the delivery of case management to residents residing in the Transitional House. The House Manager will ensure the house always remains clean and safe.  Schedule and coordinate resident’s chores.  Adress conflicts that may arise between residents and work with residents on a problem-solving strategy to resolve. Complete all necessary paperwork and documents as required within the program. 
Accountability
The House Manager is accountable to the Rapid Rehousing Director.
Responsibilities: 
Meet new residents and complete the intake paperwork.  Explain in detail the Transitional House program inclusive of case management expectations, the House program and rules, and the daily schedule. Orient the residents to the Transitional House by giving them a tour, introducing them to other residents and providing them with needed supplies such as personal care items, linens, pillows, etc. 
Develop in conjunction with the resident an Individualized Service Plan to help develop the resident’s case direction. This plan will be maintained and updated in the residents’ files throughout their involvement with Compass House.
Conduct a prescheduled face-to-face meeting with all residents at a minimum of one time per week.  
Establish and maintain joint case planning efforts with all agencies significantly involved in the delivery of services to the residents.
Link youth to appropriate community services and monitor progress as appropriate within the case plan.
Model, teach and role play life skills necessary to maximize the development of a stable living arrangement, to prepare the residents for future independent living.
Develop a thorough and current knowledge of all community service resources available to the Compass House client population.
Advocate for the residents as needed with other agencies to eliminate barriers leading residents to their goals.
Accompany residents on job searches, interviews, Department of Social Services, DMV office, etc. as needed. 
Make sure clients maintain clean and orderly bedrooms and common areas. Teach the residents as needed how to complete chores and maintain a clean and safe living environment.
Report any safety concerns and/or needed repairs to the Director of the Rapid Rehousing program. 
Maintain all statistical data and client notes in a timely fashion. 
Participate in staff meetings, in-service training, and supervisory sessions as scheduled.
Complete other tasks as requested by Supervisor or Director.
 
Special Conditions
Case Managers and House Managers generally work Monday through Friday, 9:00a.m. to 5:00p.m. but must be available in the early morning or late afternoon to meet with clients who have 9-5 jobs. Because of the extensive fieldwork necessary, the Case Manager must have regular use of an automobile.
