Job description

We are looking for a dependable Proofreader/Project Assistant to support one of our clients in Indianapolis, Indiana. This role is ideal for individuals who excel at proofreading, reviewing detailed information, identifying discrepancies, and ensuring accuracy across a variety of documents and databases.

The successful candidate will possess exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to maintain a high level of accuracy while working in a deadline-driven environment. This is a short term, contract/seasonal job opportunity.


Responsibilities:


  • Review and proof documents and related materials for accuracy
  • Compare document information against records and source documents
  • Verify and match names, and addresses to ensure documents are correct and up to date
  • Identify and report discrepancies, formatting issues, and data inconsistencies
  • Maintain accuracy while working under established deadlines
  • Assist with administrative support duties as assigned
  • Handle sensitive information with professionalism and confidentiality
  • Checking spelling, grammar, punctuation, and formatting on documents
  • Review, verify, and compare information across multiple documents and systems for accuracy and completeness
  • Update and maintain electronic records and databases
  • Ensure documentation complies with established procedures and guidelines
  • Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and quality standards
  • Previous experience in administrative support, document review, data entry, records management, quality assurance, or a related field preferred
  • Exceptional proofreading and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to spot inconsistencies
