DENTAL ASSISTING INSTRUCTOR

The position of Dental Assisting Instructor is Open Until Filled to create a qualified instructor pool.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education
  • Baccalaureate degree or higher

Experience
  • Dental Assistant, Hygienist or Dentist with occupational experience in the application of four handed dentistry principles, either as a dental assistant or working with a chairside assistant is required.
  • Three years full time paid experience in four-handed dentistry of which three months within the last four years, preferred.
  • Community College teaching experience in Dental Assisting, preferred.
  • Previous experience with healthcare accreditation organizations, preferred.
  • Bi-lingual and diversity experience encouraged.

Credentials
  • Oregon Expanded Function Dental Assistant (EFDA) required.
  • Expanded Function Orthodontic Dental Assistant (EFODA), preferred
  • Oregon Sealant Certificate, preferred
  • Oregon Temporary Soft Reline for Denture Certificate, preferred
  • Certified Dental Assistant or must obtain CDA certificate within three months of hire.
