Duties and responsibilities:

• Assists with transportation needs in Child Protective Investigation, including picking up medical records, transporting of children to placements, scheduling and transporting of children to CPT interviews and exams and other medical appointments.

• Completing complex and varied assignments including child transportation and supervision, data collection, evaluation of information, report development, tracking of assignments, and other related duties such as typing, copying, filing, and with minimal instruction.

• Schedule and facilitate court-ordered supervised visitation.

• Provides supervision for children in the office.

• Maintain cleanliness, stock, and organize visitation and shower room.

• Assist with distributing incoming and outgoing mail for the service center.

• Service as a backup to staff, including Records Technician, and Receptionist. Backup duties include, but are not limited to switchboard coverage, completion of travel reimbursements, and maintaining file room.

• Attend meetings and trainings.

Knowledge of basic childcare practices. Knowledge of principles and techniques of effective communication. Knowledge of community resources. Knowledge of program objectives. Knowledge of basic arithmetic. Skill in basic counseling techniques. Ability to assist clients in accessing community resource services. Ability to understand and apply the methods and practices used in medical, nursing, nutrition, child development or childcare setting. Ability to interview clients to identify needs. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to execute effectively time management. Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work activities. Ability to establish and maintain working relationship with others.

Licensure/registration/certification requirements:

Incumbents in this job class are required to use a personal vehicle to conduct field investigations, field visitations, or transportation of clients, and must maintain a valid driver's license, vehicle registration and appropriate automobile insurance unless an approved exception has been granted utilizing a Family Support Worker Exception Form, CF 741. Incumbents will receive a Vehicle Insurance Allowance if required to use a person vehicle. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Experience in child development or childcare setting
• Computer Skills

BACKGROUND SCREENING REQUIREMENT
