Summary:
About the Role
In this role, you'll work side-by-side with a Cancer Prevention and Control faculty member to help advance research that truly makes a difference. Your work will focus on addressing disparities in cancer outcomes and improving care and prevention for historically underserved communities.
This is a meaningful opportunity to connect research with real people-helping ensure that programs, interventions, and studies reflect the needs and voices of diverse communities. If you are passionate about health equity, community engagement, and making an impact beyond the lab, this role is for you.
Pay Range: $26.94 - $34.23 per hour
What You'll Do
Support community-based cancer prevention and control research initiatives
Help plan and deliver behavioral interventions designed to improve health outcomes
Build and sustain relationships with community partners and participants
Engage with historically underserved populations in a respectful, culturally responsive way
Assist with outreach activities, program coordination, and participant engagement
Contribute to studies focused on reducing disparities in cancer care and outcomes
Collaborate with faculty, researchers, and community stakeholders to move projects forward

Qualifications:
Required Education and Experience
1. Bachelor's degree; or
2. Associate's degree and the equivalent of two (2) years of full-time experience in an education, science, research or health related field; or
3. High School diploma or High School Equivalency diploma and the equivalent of four (4) years of full-time experience in an education, science, research or health related field.
NOTE: Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited school, college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
The preferred candidate will have experience with health education, community health initiatives, cancer screening and patient navigation.
