Job description

We are seeking a motivated, personable, and organized Community Relations Assistant to support community outreach, public relations, event support, and community engagement. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships, connecting with local communities, and supporting programs and events that make a positive impact.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support community outreach programs, events, and engagement initiatives
  • Build positive relationships with community members, local organizations, businesses, and partners
  • Represent the organization at community events, meetings, and public programs
  • Share information about organizational programs and services with community members
  • Assist with event logistics, vendors, venues, promotional materials, and on-site event support
  • Distribute marketing and promotional materials within the community
  • Respond professionally to community questions, feedback, and inquiries
  • Support public relations, marketing, and community engagement efforts
  • Maintain accurate records of outreach activities and event participation
  • Prepare basic reports and updates on community engagement activities
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Community Relations, Business, or a related field preferred
  • Experience in community outreach, customer service, marketing, communications, public relations, or event support is a plus
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
