Job Summary
The Campos Student Center (CSC) is part of the College of Engineering and Applied Science's (CEAS) dedication to cultivate community, belonging, and an inclusive and equitable education environment for undergraduate students. Our staff engages students through academic, cultural, social, professional, and leadership experiences to enhance their skills and preparedness to implement engineering and social solutions in an increasingly complex and diverse world. Our scholarship programs and student societies incorporate mentoring and meaningful engagement with alumni and industry partners. The center's academic services are central to supporting equitable student success in CEAS.
The Community Engagement Program Manager provides opportunities and support to all undergraduate students affiliated with the Campos Student Center. This position will have high levels of responsibility for contributing to a sense of belonging and engaging students with alumni, leadership development opportunities, and culturally affirming programs. The Program Manager specifically is responsible for activities, assessment, college & campus collaborations, and CSC-affiliated student societies. This position reports to the Assistant Director for Leadership & Cultural Engagement and supervises a full-time coordinator for student societies.

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be
Program Management
  • Lead the Campos Student Center alumni, leadership development, and student society program, vision, and financial strategies
  • Facilitate and host alumni engagement, community building & culturally affirming opportunities for all Campos Student Center students
  • Design and manage co-curricular opportunities, including in collaboration with college and campus partners, in alignment with the CSC Leadership Competency Model
  • Be responsible for a communication and marketing plan to share opportunities, resources & uplift student voices to the Campos Student Center community
  • Design strategies to connect student leaders to academic & professional services, workshops, and resources
  • Develop and manage program evaluation and assessment plans, collecting and analyzing data to demonstrate progress towards strategic goals
  • Connect with student leaders and society advisors regularly to learn about their progress and assist with referrals for navigating university systems and resources
  • Manage the mechanisms for tracking alumni engagement, student society conference travel, and student involvement
  • Serve as a liaison and collaborator with campus, regional, and national alumni engagement, leadership development, and society organizations

Supervision
  • Hire, train, supervise, and manage the performance of one full-time professional coordinator and a team of student employees
  • Plan and facilitate staff meetings for event planning, professional development, and team building
  • Ensure compliance with university fiscal policies and procedures for all staff, including timely reconciliation of procurement reports

Other Duties & Responsibilities
  • Create and participate in professional development opportunities
  • Assist with projects, committees, and additional duties as assigned
  • Stay apprised and current on relevant University and State of Colorado policies and procedures

What You Should Know
  • This position works Monday through Friday year round generally during university business hours. There are evening and weekend commitments.
  • This position may be eligible for a hybrid work modality, consistent with the College of Engineering and Applied Science Hybrid Work Policy .

The annual salary range for this position is $74,400-$80,990. Relocation is available for eligible candidates.

What We Require
  • A bachelor's degree in education, engineering, engineering education, student affairs, ethnic studies, social sciences, business administration, or related fields and at least 5+ years of professional, job related experience.

What We Would Like You to Have
  • A master's degree in education, engineering, engineering education, student affairs, ethnic studies, social sciences, business administration, or related fields.
  • Experience working with students in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM).
  • Experience in providing administrative and managerial oversight for university programming, student activities, leadership programs, or equivalent operations.
  • Three years in major (i.e. multi-day, large number of attendees, etc.) program event planning and production, including oversight of budget for these types of events.
  • Experience with undergraduate student leadership development and/or alumni engagement programs.
  • Knowledge of student development theories.
  • Working knowledge of program assessment and developing learning outcomes.
