Job description

Overview:

Some careers are just jobs. This one is different. At Georgia HOPE, the work you do every day creates meaningful change for children, families, and individuals who need it most.

We're a Georgia-based behavioral health provider on a mission to instill hope, empower lives, and strengthen communities. Our team specializes in supporting individuals facing emotional and behavioral challenges—often those who have experienced trauma, instability, or significant life stressors. We deliver services directly in the homes, schools, and communities where our clients live and grow, because real progress happens when care is personalized, strengths-focused, and meets people where they are.

As part of the Health Connect America family—a COA-accredited organization serving children, families, and adults across nine states—you'll have the resources, support, and professional development of a larger organization, paired with the close-knit, mission-focused culture that defines our work.

If you’re looking for a career where your impact is visible, your growth is supported, and your work truly matters, you’ll find it here.

Responsibilities:

If you're someone who believes strong leadership, operational excellence, and community partnerships are key to delivering meaningful behavioral health outcomes, this role was built for you.

As a Program Director at Georgia HOPE, you’ll lead the development and execution of clinical programs within your region—overseeing staff, operations, and strategy to ensure high-quality, compliant, and sustainable service delivery.

What You’ll Do

As a Program Director, you’ll drive program performance by balancing leadership, operations, and strategic growth. Your work will focus on team development, financial oversight, and ensuring effective service delivery across your region. Day to day, you can expect to:

• Lead and develop program staff through hiring, onboarding, supervision, performance management, and ongoing training
• Oversee daily operations, including caseload management, client services, and risk management, ensuring high-quality care and crisis response when needed
• Manage financial performance by developing budgets, reviewing monthly financials, approving payroll, and maintaining fiscal accountability for the region
• Ensure compliance with all licensure, payer, and accreditation standards (including COA), as well as timely and accurate clinical documentation and authorizations
• Build and maintain strong relationships with referral sources and community partners to support program growth and service accessibility
• Drive strategic planning and regional development initiatives aligned with organizational goals and performance expectations

What to Expect

This is a senior leadership role with responsibility for both clinical and operational outcomes across a defined geographic region. You’ll oversee a multidisciplinary team while ensuring programs operate efficiently, meet regulatory standards, and achieve growth targets. Success in this role requires strong leadership, financial acumen, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, community-based environment. You’ll collaborate closely with internal leadership, support departments, and external partners while fostering a culture of accountability, quality improvement, and continuous development.

Qualifications:

We welcome candidates who bring a genuine commitment to children and families and meet the following qualifications:

  • · Bachelor’s Degree in a human services field (e.g., Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Counseling, Criminal Justice).

    · Minimum of 5 years' experience in a community-based setting with children and families, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role.

Be Well with Us

We recognize that people who care for others need support themselves. Health Connect America offers a comprehensive benefits package to support your professional and personal well-being:

  • Flexible scheduling and a culture that values work/life balance

  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP) including 8 mental health counseling sessions annually

  • Paid time off and paid holidays for full-time employees

  • Medical, dental, vision, and voluntary insurance options

  • Health Savings Account with company contribution

  • Dependent Daycare Flexible Spending Account

  • Access to a Health Navigator

  • 401(k) Retirement Plan

  • Benefits Hub and Tickets at Work — exclusive savings and perks for everyday life
