Job description

Marketing Communication Specialist
Location: Allen County, IN
Hourly Rate: $28.20
Schedule: Full-time, Monday - Friday, 8a-5p
Job Summary: The marketing communications specialist is responsible for creating compelling content that highlights consumer success stories and promotes the purpose of Easterseals Community Network and its subsidiaries. This role involves writing and designing marketing materials, maintaining websites, social media channels, and coordinating media relations. This position requires strong writing, design, and organizational skills to effectively engage diverse audiences and enhance the organization's visibility and impact.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Research and write consumer success stories and testimonials for use in marketing materials, fundraising appeals, donor stewardship activities, and internal and external communications with various audiences for Easterseals Community Network and its subsidiaries
  • Plan, write, edit and/or design materials to promote the organization, including but not limited to brochures, flyers, annual reports, newsletters, video scripts and presentations
  • Coordinate photo and video shoots
  • Maintain library of marketing materials, photos, videos and stories
  • Write news releases, distribute them to area media, and post them on Easterseals Northeast Indiana WordPress website
  • Respond to media inquiries
  • Update Easterseals Northeast Indiana WordPress website on regular schedule in addition to as-needed updates
  • Create and post monthly blog on Easterseals Northeast Indiana WordPress website
  • Create, schedule, and post engaging social media content
  • Manage digital signage at the entrance, including the design, creation, and updating of relevant, engaging content for display.
  • Track and analyze website and social media data to achieve goals for audience growth and engagement
  • Maintain brand standards for usage of logos, names, colors and other elements that support the identity and reputation of Easterseals Community Network and its subsidiaries
  • Draft, format and distribute quarterly email to subscribers through MailChimp
  • Assist development team with events as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Experience:
  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, graphic design or related field.
  • Experience with professional use of social media
  • Written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with WordPress for website content management
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite including Premiere Pro and Photoshop
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks while working independently
  • Ability to perform light to moderate lifting when needed
  • Possession of valid driver's license, safe driving record, and proof of auto insurance
  • Ability to pass criminal/registry background checks and other required screenings

Work Environment/Conditions
• The marketing communications specialist is an on-site office role at the Easterseals Northeast Indiana Fort Wayne office.
• Some travel within Easterseals Community Network's regional footprint is required.
• Duties are typically performed during business hours; however, events or project schedules may require flexibility outside of normal hours.
• Physical Requirement: Employee will work in an office setting and remotely and may experience some light lifting when assisting with events.
