Job description

Lead a team. Build relationships. Make assisted living feel like home.

Assisted Living Manager Opportunity – The Village at Rockville
Salary range: $85,000 – $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience, qualifications, and demonstrated leadership performance.

If you're a people-centered leader who knows how to create a strong team and an exceptional experience for older adults, we'd love to meet you.

As our Assisted Living Manager, you'll lead the day-to-day operations of our assisted living neighborhood—supporting team members, building relationships with residents and families, maintaining high standards, and creating an environment where people can thrive.

You won't do it alone. You'll work closely with our Delegating Nurse, who provides clinical oversight, along with an interdisciplinary team committed to delivering excellent service and purposeful living.

What You'll Do

  • Lead, coach, and develop the Assisted Living team
  • Create a welcoming, respectful experience for residents and families
  • Oversee daily operations, staffing, scheduling, admissions, and service coordination
  • Maintain strong regulatory and operational standards
  • Partner with the Delegating Nurse to ensure resident needs and service plans are carried out
  • Build an engaged, accountable team through regular coaching, feedback, and recognition
  • Collaborate across departments to solve problems and continually improve the resident experience

What You'll Bring

  • At least 2 years of experience in a healthcare-related field
  • Leadership or supervisory experience in assisted living, senior living, long-term care, or a related environment
  • Experience working with older adults, including individuals living with dementia
  • Strong communication, organization, judgment, and problem-solving skills
  • A genuine commitment to treating every resident with dignity, respect, and individuality
  • Successful completion of Maryland's required 80-hour Assisted Living Manager training program and all other applicable state requirements

Why Join NLCS?

This is an opportunity to do more than manage a department. You'll have the ability to shape the resident experience, develop a great team, and influence how assisted living operates every day—all within an organization focused on helping residents and team members live with purpose.

Bring your leadership. Bring your ideas. And help us create an assisted living community where people truly feel at home.

Our Culture and Benefits

At NLCS, we cultivate a culture of transparency, inclusion, and authenticity — where every voice is valued and every team member is supported in growing their career. We also invest deeply in you with:

  • Up to 5 weeks of PTO in your first year
  • 403(b) retirement plan with employer matching
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • Employer-paid life and disability insurance
  • Tuition reimbursement and leadership development support
  • Wellness initiatives, recognition programs, and more

At The Village at Rockville, you're a leader who inspires trust, teamwork, and transformation.

Apply today and bring your compassionate leadership to life with NLCS.
