As we expand through strategic acquisitions, we are seeking a dynamic Finance and Business Integration Manager to spearhead our integration efforts and ensure seamless transitions that maximize value.
The Integration Project Manager will oversee and coordinate the integration process for acquired businesses, ensuring alignment with our strategic objectives and cultural integration. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills, exceptional communication abilities, and a proven track record in managing complex integrations.
Responsibilities of the Integration Project Manager include, but are not limited to:
  • Establish a repeatable project playbook for all phases of an Acquisition Program:
    -Due Diligence
    -Transition
    -Integration
  • Escalate issues requiring senior-level input and provide proactive plans to supplement integration team with additional resources so they are resolved quickly and effectively
  • Manage the interdependencies between functions so activities are prioritized and sequenced correctly
  • Provide functional leadership to develop effective integration processes, tools and templates that business units can effectively utilize to integrate the Sales arms of M&A targets
  • Define, document, and implement processes for integration to ensure compliance and standardization across stakeholders
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including executives, functional leaders, and employees, to ensure alignment and support throughout the integration process
  • Leads a team to identify, document, and communicate opportunities and their potential improvements related to processes, technology and people areas
  • Shares information cross-functionally to improve workflow processes
  • Monitoring of project progress against plan and escalation of risks and issues to the head of integrations
  • Identify potential integration risks and develop mitigation strategies to address challenges proactively
  • Oversee any relevant integration activities, across projects & organization
  • Identify, design, measure, evaluate, execute, and monitor business and product delivery processes to improve integration of cross-functional, planning teams to ensure overall product flow to customers
  • Accountable that all standards are followed to maintain applications in a compliant manner, and compliance processes are optimized to achieve adequate audit results for internal and external audits and ensuring that IT meets all compliance commitments including, SOX, Mandatory trainings, Records management, and Privacy commitments
  • Complete data analysis of existing planning processes to identify specific opportunities for process improvement
  • Assist with the plan and conduct the Integration Team Kickoff Meeting so that all functional integration leaders understand their roles and responsibilities during the transition period
  • Brief the acquired management team and employees so that they understand the integration process and how it will impact them
  • Escalate issues requiring senior-level input so they are resolved quickly and effectively
  • Document any handoffs to business line leaders at the end of the transition period

The Integration Project Manager helps ensure there is:
  • A Day 1 plan so the integration starts smoothly
  • A talent retention plan to incent key employees to stay on board
  • An integration progress tracking and reporting process for all functional integration leaders to follow
  • An integration plan for each business function being integrated (i.e., Sales, Operations, Information Technology, Purchasing, HR, Tax, Finance, Legal, etc.)
  • A communication plan for employees in both companies and all other stakeholders (i.e., customers, suppliers, vendors, partners, recruits, communities, etc.)

Qualifications of the Integration Project Manager include but are not limited to:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field; MBA preferred
  • 2 - 3 years of experience in M&A integration or integrations project management for M & A
  • Proven track record of leading successful integrations in a corporate environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex situations
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of engaging and influencing a diverse range of stakeholders
  • Experience in change management and organizational development
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Familiarity with financial analysis, valuation, and due diligence processes is a plus
