Job description

The Transformation Program Manager is responsible for leading the end-to-end delivery of large-scale, cross-functional Global Business Services Transformation. This role serves as the central point of accountability for program execution, ensuring alignment between strategy, scope, resources, timelines, risk management, financial performance, and value realization in conjunction with a consulting partner.

The successful candidate is an experienced transformation leader who excels in navigating ambiguity, partnering with senior leaders, and orchestrating complex programs across multiple workstreams in multiple regions. They bring a balanced combination of strategic thinking, operational discipline, financial acumen, stakeholder management, and change leadership to deliver sustainable business results.

Experience:

  • 10+ years leading complex enterprise programs, strategic initiatives, or large-scale transformations. 

  • Experience working with executive leadership teams and steering committees. 

  • Experience leading cross-functional teams in matrixed environments. 

  • Proven track record delivering programs involving process, organizational, operational, and technology change. 

  • Experience managing multimillion-dollar budgets and value realization initiatives. 

  • PMP, PgMP, Prosci, Lean Six Sigma, Agile, or related certifications considered an asset

Skills: 

  • Proven ability to lead large-scale, complex, cross-functional transformation programs from strategy through execution. 

  • Strong program and portfolio management expertise, including planning, governance, resource management, dependency management, and delivery oversight. 

  • Experience partnering with external consulting firms

  • Exceptional executive communication skills with the ability to influence, align, and build credibility across all organizational levels. 

  • Demonstrated experience establishing governance frameworks and facilitating executive decision-making and issue resolution. 

  • Strong financial acumen, including budget management, forecasting, business case development, and value realization tracking. 

  • Advanced risk management and problem-solving skills, with the ability to proactively identify, assess, and mitigate program risks and issues. 

  • Ability to navigate ambiguity, manage competing priorities, and make sound decisions in fast-paced, evolving environments. 

  • Strategic and enterprise mindset with the ability to connect business objectives, operational priorities, and measurable outcomes.

Enterprise Program Leadership

  • Lead complex, multi-year transformation programs consisting of multiple interconnected projects and workstreams in different geographies, with internal and external partners
  • Translate strategic objectives into executable roadmaps, milestones, deliverables, and measurable outcomes.
  • Maintain accountability for program scope, schedule, budget, dependencies, risks, and benefits realization.
  • Drive cross-functional alignment to ensure successful achievement of transformation objectives.
  • Manage competing priorities and make data-driven decisions to optimize program outcomes.

Governance & Executive Engagement

  • Establish and lead program governance structures, decision-making forums, and executive steering committees.
  • Prepare executive-level reporting, dashboards, business updates, and recommendations.
  • Facilitate issue resolution and decision-making across senior leadership teams.
  • Ensure transparency of program performance through consistent reporting of milestones, risks, financials, and key performance indicators.
  • Escalate critical issues proactively while presenting actionable mitigation strategies.

Strategic Planning & Execution

  • Develop integrated program plans that align business objectives, operational requirements, technology initiatives, and organizational readiness activities.
  • Coordinate delivery across multiple teams, functions, and external partners.
  • Monitor progress against key milestones and implement corrective actions when required.
  • Drive continuous improvement of program management processes, tools, and methodologies.
  • Ensure effective dependency management across initiatives and business functions.

Risk, Financial & Value Management

  • Establish and maintain comprehensive risk management frameworks.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate program risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies.
  • Manage program budgets, forecasts, resource plans, and financial performance.
  • Track and validate business outcomes, value realization, and return on investment.
  • Partner with Finance and business leaders to ensure financial commitments and benefits are achieved.

Stakeholder & Change Leadership

  • Build strong relationships across executive leaders, functional leaders, and project teams.
  • Drive alignment among diverse stakeholder groups with competing priorities.
  • Collaborate closely with Change Enablement, Communications, and Business Readiness teams to support adoption and sustainment.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Lead through influence while effectively navigating organizational complexity and resistance.
